It’s hard to believe there’s only one week to go in the Razzball Commenter Leagues. This marathon of a season has seen us torture ourselves for 25 long weeks, agonizing over batty calls, dipping into the streamers with mixed results, cursing players, and praising others. We’ve ignored our families, our jobs, and our personal hygiene and now it all comes down to the final week. Only 91 MLB games remain. You may smell like stale Hot Cheetos, but dadgummit, that virtual fantasy trophy is all yours! Speaking of trophies, Stolen Vortex is looking to lock down that overall RCL Championship trophy. Their lead is holding but Laura Holt isn’t going down without a fight. That 107 LCI in NOTLZ is putting in work for Laura. It should be a fun finish! There will be one final RCL Update next week, probably Wednesday since the final one of the year is a doozie of stats, so stay tuned for that. As for this week, we’ll go over some great weeks, check in on the ‘Perts League finish, and more in the week that was week 24:
Each week we’ll peek in at our resident ‘perts to see who is laying claim to best “expert” RCLer in the land. We’ll take notes, check the standings and generally stalk them. The heading is also hyperlink, so feel free to follow along as we go.
This league is going around and around and this week, the carousel lands on Cram It, who put up five points this week to take the lead. This, despite Grey leading the league in every offensive category minus batting average and WHIP. Cram It, however, led the league in IP and continued the amazing win luck that Grey just can’t seem to find, locking down 7 Wins in those 64 IP. Grey is creeping up on his IP limit and has some interesting strategy to maneuver. Grey is 1 save behind Son, which would be a two point swing but doesn’t have a path to gaining ground on Cram It in pitching. In fact, Cram It could pass Grey in strikeouts with some crafty streaming down the stretch. Ultimately, it seems it will be Grey’s lack of wins that will hold him back this season.

Stolen Vortex held onto to the top spot heading into the final week but the lead is down to two points thanks to Laura’s hot week. Laura went from 98.5 to 104 league points in NOTLZ and has a very legit shot at the overall championship. It looks like everyone in RCL 6 will hit the IP limit, so SV has that going for them.
Orlando Calrissians also had a big week in Original Recipe, jumping from eighth to third overall. FANTASY ICON 5.0 and Deb, The Toast of Iceland were pushed down to fourth and fifth with the moves.
Bayou Bombers leap-frogged Save the World to take sixth place and Dunphy`s Joint Venture moved up two places to eighth.
Analyzing Unathletic Success and Tuck It In tumbled down the standings to land in ninth and tenth and round out of top ten.

TEAM OF THE WEEK
Our weekly shout out to the team that killed it the previous week.
Team: MEGA MANGO
League: Crab Army
Stats: AVG: .290, R: 52, HR: 19, RBI: 50, SB: 14
IP: 139.1, ERA: 2.71, WHIP: 1.033, K: 142, W: 10, SV: 2
Summary: You may recall Geoff won TOW honors back in week 17. In that blurb I talked about how the teams in Crab Army refused to quit, especially Geoff. Geoff went quiet for a bit but stormed back this week and like a good crab who evolution can’t kill, Geoff is back. The race in Crab Army now looks like this:
I can’t shake these guys. Geoff had an insane week, not only did his offense go ham, but he streamed his crab buns off and absolutely killed it (thanks in huge part to the SON, he noted) including Saturday’s all-timer where he threw 33 IP, got 33 Ks to go with a 0.27 ERA and .727 WHIP….and two wins. John Means, Nick Pivetta, Zack Littell, and Joe Boyle were the streamers, if you’re interested. To throw that many IP and come away with those ratios…that’s a TOW if I’ve ever seen one. Go ahead, try to fire off 100+ IP this week, and see where you land. I dare you.
