We’re keeping things brief this week as your Razzball Commenter League host is on vacation. I’m relaxing on the Jersey shore (Exit 0, let’s gooo!) and while I always think about skipping an update while on vacation every summer, the completionist part of my brain won’t let me. So instead, we have a shorter version, mostly brought to you by VinWins, who remains the absolute best.
Each week we’ll peek in at our resident ‘perts to see who is laying claim to best “expert” RCLer in the land. We’ll take notes, check the standings and generally stalk them. The heading is also hyperlink, so feel free to follow along as we go.

The movement was pretty relaxed in Perts this week with The Lineup Builder gaining a league best three points to move up one spot to fourth, being the biggest gain. I gained 2.5 to move into second, over Itch. I’m still seven points behind Mike, who is looking to wrap this thing up. The biggest drop this week was B_don, who lost four points and fell two places to sixth.
Each week we’ll also take a look at the top ten overall standings in our other Razzball sponsored league, the RazzSlam. This is our NFBC Best Ball league with managers from all across the industry, from content providers to fans and readers just like you.
That’s a wrap on round two, your twenty teams moving to the championship round are as follows:

Everyone else can battle it out in the consolation bracket for the chance to win Rotowear shirt.

WHIP (Min. 40 IP) – 0.92 – Topps Talent (Caught Looking) (in 45.2 IP)
No records were toppled this week. DFSers Anonymous sure came to play this week, though. That probably explains why I fell from in the mix for first place to fourth this week. Interesting to see 1.61 as the low ERA for the week, we’re usually right around one.
Some additional stats from the week from VinWins:
11 teams had an ERA under 2; 37 teams were over 6.
13 teams hit under .200; 39 teams were over .300.
It was certainly more of a hitter’s week this week.
70 teams had 0 saves.
5 weeks left. 80.8% of the schedule has been completed. 808 IP would be on pace for the 1000 IP minimum. 1132 IP is on pace for the maximum 1400 IP.
Also of note, two more teams have reached 1400 IP:
WooderIce (RCL #29) – Hit the limit Aug. 19.
Halcyon (RCL #28) – Hit the limit Aug. 19.
TEAM OF THE WEEK
Our weekly shout out to the team that killed it the previous week.

Team: Nocler
League: DFSers Anonymous
Stats: AVG: .312, R: 53, HR: 18, RBI: 71, SB: 8
IP: 60.1, ERA: 3.43, WHIP: 1.21, K: 71, W: 2, SV: 6
Summary: Last year’s defending champ just beat out the current overall leader for TOW this week. Pete Crow-Armstrong hit .375 with five home runs and two steals to lead the top offense of the week. Jo Adell had twelve of the team’s 71 runs batted in, and hit .450 with two homers. Jordan Walker (.353/9 R/3 HR/8 RBI/2 SB) and Bobby Witt Jr. (.370/8 R/2 HR/3 SB) were also big contributors. Pete Alonso chipped in three long balls. Braxton Ashcraft (1 earned run and 5 baserunners in 8 innings pitched) and Dylan Cease (6.2 IP/1 ER/8 K) secured the only two wins for Nocler. Shane Baz struck out 13 in 12 innings over two starts, while Parker Messick had 10 Ks in 6 and 2/3 IP. Reid Detmers threw six shutout innings. Aroldis Chapman, Jake Latz, and Cade Smith each earned 2 saves in three 1-inning appearances and combined for 16 strikeouts. Smith allowed the only run of the 9 innings. The killer week gained Nocler 3.5 points, which stretched their lead in a very tight league race to five points. Nice work!

I see you all trying to lull me into a false sense of security in the Perts League! It’s going to be a long last month of the season.
I always appreciate your help and honesty! Would you pick up Griffin Jax or Joe Musgrove?
If you say yes, who would you drop among Framber Valdez, Christian Scott, Trevor Rodgers, Sasaki and Painter?
Thanks so much for all your help!
i’d probably ditch framber for jax, he’s been so so bad
Thank you!!
vinny rules.
Is that Wildwood or Cape May? Enjoy your vacay!
