It would appear the balls have gotten bouncier as the temperatures have gotten warmer, and no ERA or WHIP is safe these days.  I may have to avoid starters in Sacramento until further notice.  Gage Jump seemed like such a good waiver find too.  Eury Perez sure didn’t seem to have any issues in Bing Bong, but was pulled with a perfecto intact only to have a reliever give up 5 ER and record no outs.  MLB managers are a rare breed these days.  They don’t start their hottest hitters, they can’t name a closer, they pull pitchers who are dominating, or they just make the most baffling lineups known to fantasy managers.  I hold firm in the belief that most of us could fill out a lineup card and win more games than some of these guys.  Then again, I’m barely treading water in a handful of leagues this year, so what do I know?  Let’s see which managers are absolutely dominating the RCLs in our July Master Standings and which ones had the most success this past week in the week that was, week 15.

‘PERTY ‘PERTS

Each week we’ll peek in at our resident ‘perts to see who is laying claim to best “expert” RCLer in the land.  We’ll take notes, check the standings and generally stalk them.  The heading is also hyperlink, so feel free to follow along as we go.

Mike C stretched his lead this week, gaining 3.5 more points and clearing 90 points, something no one has done in this league since Itch had 94 back in week 6.  The biggest gainer this week was Coolwhip, who gained 7.5 points and moved up two places to sixth.  Whip led the league in HR and RBI this week.  The biggest dropper was Derek, who did the complete opposite, losing 7.5 points and falling to fourth.

RAZZSLAM STANDINGS UPDATE

Each week we’ll also take a look at the top ten overall standings in our other Razzball sponsored league, the RazzSlam.  This is our NFBC Best Ball league with managers from all across the industry, from content providers to fans and readers just like you.

Todd Clark remained the top RazzSlammer for another week with Andy Behrens having a big week to move into second overall.  The biggest week was from Brent Franey, whose RazzSlam best 787 points this week moved him up ten spots into the top ten at fourth overall.  Andy had the fifth most points this week with 753.  Ed Rice made the biggest move thanks to his 724 points, which boosted him 42 spots to 193rd overall.  This is the final week to make a move and get into the top two in your league and make the Championship bracket!  Fingers crossed for a big week.

We have a new overall leader, and if I’m going to lose to someone, I’m fine if they are the overall champ.  RCL 19 is where I drafted one of my better teams this year, unfortunately, DFresh managed one even better and is currently whooping me and everyone else in RCL 19, as well as the rest of the RCLs.  Nice work DFresh.

ECFBL is much less of a worry because I’ve been hovering around tenth place, but Retro Vertigo is running away with it and I’d love to see an overall champ out of one of our legacy leagues.

Last month’s overall squad, There’s a Drive, falls to fourth this update.

I love seeing the huge jumps, CPWinos cracking the top ten with a 58 spot jump is awesome, but Dunphys Joint Venture moving up 92 spots out of one the toughest leagues out there takes the cake.

Maybe you can make a big move before the August update, get cracking!

TRADES

All the trades that have gone down in the past week.  Public ridicule is not only allowed, but encouraged.

DATE LEAGUE DETAILS
6/29/2026 RCL 1
Halcyon traded Christian Walker to Notes for Austin Riley & Bo Bichette
6/30/2026 RCL 32
Mighty Morphin Corbins traded George Kirby to TF 32 for Miguel Vargas
7/2/2026 Caught Looking
Autobot traded Chase Burns & Liam Hicks to B’More Like 1983! traded for Mason Miller

7/5/2026 RCL 23
Not Lingering traded Devin Williams & JJ Wetherholt to the PMH for Jesus Luzardo
7/5/2026 RCL 23
Btigges traded Angel Martinez & Cristopher Sanchez to Not Lingering for Royce Lewis & Yordan Alvarez

Six trades this week involving 17 players, and some good looking moves this week.  I’ve had a few trade offers for Miller in a couple leagues and haven’t found anything worth moving him for, not sure this is it either, but to each their own.

Season totals: 83 trades involving 238 players (159 unique players). Yordan, Bo Bichette, & George Kirby were all traded for the 4th time. Three leagues made their first trade – RCL 1, RCL 32, Crab Army. There are now 9 leagues with no trades, including ECFBL, a rarity for them.

WEEKLY LEADERS

The best of the best from the week that was.

R – 76 – Vin Com (FCL)

HR –27 – BillyAngel (RCL 8)

RBIs – 81 – TripleBs (COUGS R US)

SB – 16 – The Great Grognards (RCL 19)

AVG – .327 – Bucks in 6 (RCL 10)

K – 89 – Laying Down DeLauter (RCL 29)

W – 9 – 4 Teams Tied (including Vin!)

SV –  8 – 6 Teams Tied

ERA (Min. 40 IP) – 0.87 – Moosejaw Lemmings (RCL 35) (in 41.1 IP)

WHIP (Min. 40 IP) – 0.653 – Moosejaw Lemmings (RCL 35)

Well, at least my feelings on the week bore out in the numbers.  We absolutely crushed the weekly Runs, HR, and RBI records this week.  And yet, somehow, Moosejaw Lemmings managed a sub 1 ERA and WHIP, impressive.  I sure didn’t, my ECFBL team had a 9.37 ERA thanks to an Imai blow-up, a mistake starting Hunter Greene fresh off the IL and Gage Jump & Peyton Tolle getting clobbered.  Oof.  Congrats to Vin, BillyAngel, and TripleBs on the record weeks.  Moosejaw Lemmings actually tied the WHIP record as well, just doing so in fewer IP.

Some additional stats from the week from VinWins:

55.4% of games have been played. 554 IP is on pace for 1000. 776 IP is on pace for the max 1400.

12 teams had an ERA under 2, while 61 teams were over 6!

1 teams hit under .200, and 31 hit over .300.

90 teams had 0 saves this week.

TEAM OF THE WEEK

Our weekly shout out to the team that killed it the previous week.

Team: BillyAngel

League: RCL 8

Stats:   AVG: .326, R: 71, HR: 27, RBI: 74, SB: 7

IP: 47.2, ERA: 2.64, WHIP: 1.028, K: 51W: 3, SV: 7

Summary: What a ridiculous week!  The Runs, HR, and RBI would have all been new weekly records had other teams not done a little better in Runs and RBI this week.  To do all that and maintain immaculate ratios is even more impressive.  Five players hit three home runs each to power BillyAngel to Team of the Week honors: Willson Contreras and Luis Garcia Jr each drove in nine and stole a base, while Otto Lopez and Manny Machado both had seven ribbies and a steal. Kyle Stowers hit .423 with seven RBIs and scored ten runs. Bobby Witt Jr (2 HR/2 SB) and Jordan Walker (2 HR/9 RBI) were also key contributors. Bryce Miller threw seven innings of 2-hit ball with eight strikeouts for a win to lead the pitching side. Gerrit Cole (7 Ks) and JT Ginn secured the other two wins. Troy Melton, Kevin Gausman, and Will Warren had fine outings with seven punchouts each. Trevor Megill earned three saves in four shutout innings, while Jake Latz threw three perfect innings and had two saves. Aroldis Chapman recorded saves in both his appearances.  The huge week was good for seven points gained and moved BillyAngel up one spot to third place in RCL 8.
