We’re going Meta on the Razzball Pod!  Well, not really at all, I mean did you read the title?!  Grey and I chat about our thoughts on social media and the little bit of trouble it might cost Jared Cosart, go over the news from Spring across the MLB including the scoreless 18 innings from Taijuan Walker, then our kit-and-caboodle (does that mean main segment?): our favorite un-sexy picks this year.  Looking at you Aramis Ramirez!  Grey then laughs at me and accuses me of Brewers Goggles.  If only he knew how sexy I look in rec specs in the Saturday afternoon YMCA pickup hoops game!  I’m like Kurt Rambis mixed with Milton from Office Space.  Here’s the hot-off-the-presses edition of the Razzball Baseball Podcast:

    Hey JB,

I’ve been trying to keep up with the articles but I haven’t been able to. It’s been a rough start to the baseball season. Just had a baby and a good friend of mine passed away a few weeks ago. So I sit here trying to catch up bc my draft is tonight. Any chance you can give me a quick synopsis of who I need to watching out for this year? Guys that you and Grey like a lot. Someone like Goldy from 2 years ago. I know grey likes Wong. But who else do I need to be targeting. Thanks for the help. Take care.

@The Rocket: Ack, sorry to hear that man, hopefully a good summer of baseball will help just a tad…

I love James Paxton. We both like Carrasco. Just moved Matt Harvey way up and Jake Arrieta is big for Grey and I. Those 4 pitchers I hope to have on a lot of teams.

Grey likes Arenado a lot, but buzz has caught up. I like Machado. I think 3B is unreal deep, and a position not to reach for.

I mostly know the SP, but yeah Wong is solid, I think Mookie Betts has a great year, I like A.J. Pollock a good bit as well later in drafts.

Hope some of that helps, condolences again!

Hey guys – First time caller….

JA Happ, Matt Cain or sexy McCarthy in a mixed league (W, ERA, K, WHIP)?

And how sexy is Kendall Graveman? See by the thousands people are picking him up.

@Patrick leon: Well they should be, a commenter last week was having issues with the feed as well… Let me ask the programmers, it’s above my head haha

@Opal: Thanks Guys. Yea, I see a few razzball podcasts available in my app (PocketCasts) but none have new episodes. The url that Opal provided (thanks!) links to the Capozzi podcast Razzball Baseball and the latest episode is from 9/23. Razzball Radio is another one and the latest episode is 11/28. The other is Fantasy Baseball Blog with Grey and JB and the latest episode is from 9/23.

I got a fever and the only prescription is more Razzbell. Ur, Razzball. I gotta have more Razzball.

@Patrick Leon: see, but the really weird part is that with that URL, I get the most recent podcasts. It’s the same feed that iTunes uses, too. So what magical frigging logic is that Android app using? grrrr.

Embrace the disease like I have, JB. AsBrewers Syndrome afflicts 1 in 5 Americans daily and 1 in 2 Americans living in Wisconsin. Symptoms include drafting Milwaukee Brewers over other players in fantasy & believing heavily in Sparky Anklebiters. The disease is a close cousin to Yankeemywankeedrome, Bosoxism, and Phillyfandom whereby the only baseball one talks about are big payroll East Coast teams.

I myself appear to have avoided said flu bug for 10 years in fantasy only to succumb to drafting Fiers, Segura, Khris Davis, and Gennett between my roto and h2h teams this year. Win or lose, embrace the Brewers Fever baby!

@Clint: Hah, AsBrewers syndrome! Def have it. Those east cost ones are def serious… PhillyPhanaticism is a brain washing issue as well…

I like all those guys this year! Except Khris Davis. He’s never gonna be a 270 hitter I don’t think… PLus some Parra platoon…

Great information, fun comments, good podcast, but holy cow both of your laughs are just horrendous to listen to. Childish prepubescent hyena cackles coming from an overly turned up high school PA system. Just woof, your laughs/giggles are miserable. get that jam under control. otherwise great stuff. Hope Walker helps pitch the Mariners to a division title.

glad i could share this kind, positive, confidence boosting info in the comments section.

@James Vanderbeek: Hah, when I read your comment I let out a patented high-pitched laugh! Can’t change who we are man, it’s how we laugh in person! What does “an overly turned up high school PA system” mean? Hah, like, a 14 year old took over the morning announcements?! PS – loved you on Dawsons

@Harry Connick Sr.: Hahaha, your Happathy is well-founded, it’s certainly an un-sexy, Happy-go-lucky call
