There’s no way you haven’t heard, but the MLB is reportedly going to suspend, like, a team’s worth of players.  Maybe the potential suspendees should form their own team and own baseball league.  Maybe wear suspenders?  Womp, womp – that’s like a dad joke.  I heard Jose Canseco is still trying to play.  He’d fit in perfectly!

So you’ve got Ry-Ry Steroids-Steroids and steals king Everth Cabrera and have either the fantasy blues or fantasy roid rage.  Why not start afresh and draft a daily league team and win back that money your juicing up players are going to lose you in your fantasy league? Our friends at DraftKings continue to provide us with an awesome RAZZBALL EXCLUSIVE Can You Beat Rudy Gamble Contest where the top winner gets a ticket into their huge $100,000 Punch Out which runs next Friday with the top winner getting $20,000!  Remember you have to click on that link above, or this one here, or the same very one here to get in.  It’s secret to everyone else!  Then spots 2-10 double up to $10.00 on a measly $5.00 entry.

Listen, I know a lot of you are fantasy purists and don’t wanna dabble in the daily leagues.  I’m not going to lie, I was like that as well, but gave DraftKings a shot and it’s a ton of fun without spending much money.  I deposited $5.00 because I’m broke as a joke, and they hold $1.00 contests where you can win $30-$40 bucks every day as well.  I got 4th in one and nabbed $4 bucks and change, then entered our Razzball contest and got 4th last week and doubled my 5 buckaroos into 10 large!  Well large being only ten dollars, but I’m poor!  I’ll probably be playing again this week, so since I’m batting 1.000 in these, you might want to use some of my picks below.

Peering into the past at last week’s selections:

SP – Hisashi Iwakuma W  7.2 IP  7 H  2 BB  5 Ks  (25.85 Pts)

CI – Adrian Beltre 4-4  1 HR  2 RBI  2 R  (27 Pts)

MI – Jhonny Peralta 0-4  R  (2 Pts)

OF1 – Carl Crawford 0-0  R (2 Pts)

OF2 – Domonic Brown 2-4  2 HR  4 RBI  2 R  (32 Pts)

UTIL – Raul Ibanez 1-4  R  (5 Pts)

TOTAL – 93.85 (Previous weeks’ finishes – 76.9, 68.8, 47.7, 67.3, 92.4, 75, 83, 96)

Finally got some big hitters on the same night!  Dom Brown is on fire, and the Brewers pitching staff is atrocious.  They’re giving the fans the shaft, as is the MLB office.

Here’s who I like on Friday:

SP – Chris Sale ($10,00) – As experienced DraftKing-ers know, pitching is the key to winning, and I love Sale at home against the A’s.  Sure he’s pitching against the same team twice in a row, but did you see how he dismantled the Angels twice in a row?  Huge K potential, is pitching fantastic, I think he’s a solid buy.

CI – Albert Pujols ($4,200) – While helping out with Grey comments while he’s in a mustache wellness clinic (I keed, he doesn’t need mustache-enhancing drugs!), I’ve gotten a lot of comments on Pujols.  I think he’s fine, will hit high .270s, hit close to 30 long ones, 100 ribbies.  Sure not what you hoped, but fine.  I don’t get why everyone is looking to drown themselves about him.  Anyway, he gets an awesome park to hit in at Fenway and hit against Felix Doubront, who he’s never faced, but isn’t a great pitcher.  Love his value.

MI – Troy Tulowitzki ($4,900) – I’m going big with my budget with Tulo at short hitting against the terrible Edinson Volquez in the beautifully thin air in Coors.  Homer me up, bar keep!

OF – Domonic Brown ($3,600) – When you’re hot, you’re hot.  So I’m sticking with Brown again, going against temporary Brewers starter Alfredo Figaro, which sounds like a delicious Italian dinner.  He’s related to Jose Valverde, aka the best enchiladas, so the culinary pitchers have a soft spot in my heart.  Hey, Valverde is nicknamed the potato too!  While I do love Figaro, he hits 98-99 MPH and I think could actually turn into a nice surprise, his fastball is super straight and prone to homers, especially in hitter-friendly Miller Park.  The hottest home run hitter in the league right now should have some gooduns to stroke.

OF – Yasiel Puig ($2,000) – Disclaimer – expect Puig’s cost to be adjusted – but right now he’s still buried down there with his recent call up.  Either way, if he’s in the mid-to-high $3,000 range as I’d expect, I think he’s a solid buy.  Opposing pitcher Paul Maholm has been terrible recently and has given up a homer in 4 of his last 5.  Puig hitting leadoff should give your daily lineup perhaps an extra at-bat and he has big power and speed.  Hitting against a slow throwing lefty can only help.

UTIL – Martin Prado ($3,900) – Prado is heating up lately like the Arizona desert and gets to hit at home against Matt Cain coming into town.  Cain is giving up home runs to everyone, and Prado is a career 4-9 against him with a homer already in the books.  I see another solid day.

As always, if you have any questions about anyone else, or for any other DraftKings contests, shoot them below, thanks for checking our friends out!
