Even though he may not have reached his preseason expectations, Tommy Pham has put together a strong season and could still finish as a top 30 outfielder. His power-speed combo out of the Rays’ cleanup spot makes him an attractive target today in Texas. Globe Life Park is one of the best hitting environments in the league, especially during the day. Facing off against Yohander Mendez makes this an even better matchup for Pham, because:
A) Mendez sucks
B) Pham hits lefties better than righties, and
C) he’s projected for 0.0 points on Draft.
That’s right, as at time of writing, Draft has placed a 0 point projection on Pham (I’m assuming accidentally), so you should be able to grab him with one of your last picks.

Chris Archer, SP: A lot of people have been burned by Archer and never trust him enough to start him in DFS. That works in our favor here, making him a contrarian play against the Royals. Kansas City is weak against righties with just a .310 wOBA, and Archer’s 24.6% K-rate can score him points even if he does get touched up. He should be able to put together an effective start here.
Dallas Keuchel, SP: The Mariners’ lineup hasn’t been as good as they might seem, as their .313 wOBA puts them in the bottom-third of teams against right-handers. While Archer is more of a GPP play, Keuchel is a safer option for cash games, as his 3.66 FIP gives him a high floor.
Giancarlo Stanton, IF: Start Giancarlo at home against a lefty. Yes, that lefty is David Price, but I still like Stanton’s odds.
Jonathan Villar, IF: Villar is one of the hottest players in fantasy right now, batting .320 with 3 homers and 5 steals in his last 15 days. His production should continue at home against Marco Estrada.
Mike Moustakas, IF: Moose gets to face Matt Harvey and his 1.49 HR/9 in one of the best hitting environments in baseball, Miller Park. He’s the Hittertron’s favorite Brewer outside of Christian Yelich, but that’s not a fair comparison for anybody.
Michael Brantley, OF: Since the Indians have clinched, you have to be careful with any of their bats to make sure they aren’t getting a rest day. So long as Brantley is starting, he will produce out of Cleveland’s two-hole against Dylan Covey.
Starling Marte, OF: Interleague play still feels sort of weird when it’s this late in the season, but it’s great for Marte and the Pirates as they get to face Heath Fillmyer.
