I spent the past week vacationing in the armpit of the United States, New Jersey! I kid, there are actually a few nice spots in New Jersey. You’ll just have to trust me. It’s Grey’s old stomping ground, so you could say, I spent the week in the birthplace of Razzball. As I’m sure everyone who is hyper-competitive in the Razzball Commenter Leagues knows, vacation can really put a damper on your ability to grab players right before and after lineup lock. It’s the cross we bear. If there’s anything we’ve talked about ad nauseum, it’s the amount of time required in these daily move leagues. This is magnified for those of us in multiple RCLs. So, before setting out on vacation, make sure the wifi is suitable and maybe keep your options open around 7:05 PM EST. Can we all vent for a moment on the travesty that is the ESPN mobile app as well? 3 or 4G is great and all, but when you can’t even sort pitchers between SP or RP on the app, that’s a problem. Everything, it seems, takes at least 4 times as long on the app as well. Oh well, we can hope they get the hint someday and improve that shizzshow. Until then, keep that laptop handy and those vacations flexible.
Each week we’ll peek in at our resident ‘perts to see who is laying claim to best “expert” RCLer in the land. We’ll take notes, check the standings and generally stalk them. The heading is also hyperlink, so feel free to follow along as we go.
Team Albright was at it again this week, finishing in 3rd place in the Team of the Week standings and pushing himself back over 100 roto points. We may as well get around to all of Grey’s accolades right now, while we’re talking about him. Grey’s awesome week pushed into the top 4 in the Master Standings! Look at Grey go! Grey also led all RCL teams in both strikeouts and wins this week. Bam!
Grey, however, wasn’t the only team to have a kick-ass week. Prospector Ralph, after getting snubbed into 2nd place two of the past three weeks, found daylight this week, winning Team of the Week honors en route to a 14.5 point gain and a three position jump from 5th to 2nd.s Ralph was one of four teams to co-lead the RCLs in homers this week with 24. Couple that with 70 innings pitched to the tune of a 2.44 ERA and 0.94 WHIP and you’ll see the importance of a good pitching week on your league standing. You’ll also see the importance of having Cody Bellinger on your team. What. A. Stud.
Cram It was the low man on the totem pole this week as he dropped 11.5 points and fell from fourth place, all the way to eighth. Cram It didn’t have a bad pitching week, but his bats went ice cold as his squad totaled only 7 dingers and hit a dismal .218 for the week. That’s a 17 HR swing between Ralph and Crammy this week. That’s never great. Back at it this week Cram It!

10 | Lindor Truffle Shuffle | Take on the Jay | 97.7 | 107 | 98 | 91.1 |
The top two remain intact for another week as Rakers Nation (aka: Mad Beach Bums) remains well ahead of the pack. Taking over third place from the evil robot is Vottoman Empire from one of my RCLs. DFSers Anonymous was a top 5 RCL last season in LCI, and looks to continue that trend this season. The aforementioned, Team Albright also leaps the bot and finished the week in 4th place overall. Rudy Is Snooty falls to 5th place, the bots take a hit this week. Returning Champ falls from 4th to 6th this week and Cram it falls from 6th to 7th with his 2nd RCL squad. Nick the Dick’s “Detachable Penis” has been flirting with the top 10 for weeks now and finally gets over the hump this week into 8th place overall. Nice work Nick! Frequent Commenter AL KOHLIC falls from 5th to 9th this week and rounding out the top 10 is Lindor Truffle Shuffle who finished just outside last week in 11th place.

TEAM OF THE WEEK
Our weekly shout out to the team that killed it the previous week.
Team: Prospector Ralph
League: Razzball ‘Perty ‘Perts
Stats: H/AB: 91/325, AVG: .345, R: 59, HR: 24, RBI: 57, SB: 5
IP: 70, ERA: 2.44, WHIP: 0.94, K: 76, W: 6, SV: 3
Summary: As I mentioned above, Ralph’s “Rio Ruiz Super League” team had finished 2nd in two of the previous three weeks, so it’s pretty sweet to see one of his teams finally break through. Congrats Ralph. Ralph is riding two of the hottest young sluggers in baseball right now in Aaron Judge and Cody Bellinger. That’s borderline unfair. Matt Adams is chipping in some pretty incredible stats right now too. Maybe the St. Louis Cardinals need to hack into another team’s computer system to figure out that they probably should have given Adams a shot at the starting first base gig sometime in the past 5 seasons. Congrats again Ralph, keep up the good work, someone has to give Grey a fight.
