I don’t know about you, but I love playing board games. I can’t say I have much opportunity to do so, but now that I have a three year old it’s only a matter of time before I’m back in the swing of things putting hotels on Boardwalk and collecting $200 for passing Go. I have actually been buying a board games since she was born so that when the time comes, I’m ready to rock. I’ve got most of the classics, but have also picked up a few newbies that just look cool. Today, however, we are playing the fantasy baseball guessing game where I give you some clues about two players and you tell me who the two players are in the comments section. Foo was a third round pick by an American League team. He spent the first two years of his professional career as a catcher, but as a Junior in high school he went 10-0 as a pitcher helping his team win the State Championship. Foo is currently with his third Major League team, but until this season he has yet to play more than 88 games in a season. With one 20/20 season already under his belt Foo has his eyes on 30/30. His first Major League home run was a grand slam against the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium. Foo is 25 years old.
Unlike foo, bar is having a disastrous 2016. He does not a have a single home run this season and is batting a horrid .176. Bar has 88 strikeouts so far this season. Like Foo, during his junior year of high school bar had an undefeated record (11-0) as a pitcher. Also like foo, bar skipped college to go pro and was drafted in the 16th round. Bar was involved in a trade that also involved foo. Bar is playing with his second team this season and has been an All-Star just once in his career
Foo is on the way up, while bar is on his way down. Heck bar might be on his way out. Despite this, bar is earning a little more than 40 times more than foo this season.
