Chose to go over ESPN and Yahoo’s 2023 fantasy baseball rankings and did a quick search, finding 2023 yahoo fantasy baseball rankings with little effort. Pretty simply, tee be aitch. A google search of “2023 Yahoo Fantasy Baseball Rankings” to be exact. With that said, I don’t think ESPN fantasy baseball rankings exist anymore. Does ESPN still do fantasy baseball rankings? I saw ESPN was switching their format to become big baby stuff with, like, nine hitters, five pitchers and only a top 100 overall to play more like, I’m guessing, fantasy football, but, when I searched for ESPN fantasy baseball rankings, I received an error page that read something like, “We do football, and some basketball, but if you’re interested in baseball, you are the wrong demographic, so goodbye.” So, first off, I guess props to Yahoo for still doing fantasy baseball rankings. With that said, I will now remove my Ginzu from my sheath and begin the process of slicing and dicing. I’m using a mandoline on their rankings without a protective cover! I’m using a mandolin without that weird rubber cover on my thumb! Just very manly stuff that a lot of you expect from me. Ya know, I’ve been arrested before (12 years ago). For peeing in public because my wee-wee bladder is so wee. Got off with a ticket, but that time in prison (90 minutes) hardened me, and now it’s time to take it out on Yahoo for their 2023 fantasy baseball rankings.
Because I’m way too interested in how right and wrong I am, I went back to look at what names I told you to grab in your Yahoo leagues last year, because they were undervaluing them, and what names I told you to avoid. It’s a large-scale mishmosh of some good and some not, if I’m being honest. For every guy like Bobby Witt Jr., who I said was a steal almost 100 picks later in Yahoo than I had him ranked; there’s another guy like Jonathan India that I said was great and they said, “Whoa, daddy.” Same with the other side of the coin on the avoidances, I told you to avoid Walker Buehler — yay me — but I said to avoid Carlos Rodon and they rolled their eyes. So, grain of salt with the big brain in my melon, and hedges aside, let’s eviscerate!
Screaming, “Seppuku!” while seeing them rank Jacob deGrom 28th overall. What is deGrom’s over/under on innings? Seriously, please, interjection, give me a real number. I wish you’d tell me! Ugh, I just said that aloud and my genie counted it towards one of my wishes. You stupid djinn! My genie is a drinker. It’s a djinn rummy! So, the genie said 100 was the over/under and I’m not asking if it’s over or under, because that would be another wish–Damn it! The genie was reading over my shoulder and deGrom’s throwing 92 innings this year. I know I’m a bit on an island with my low ranking of deGrom, but I’m more than 40 picks later, and there’s no way I’m drafting deGrom in Yahoo leagues (or any leagues, if being honest).

Look at Grey embedding an Instagram post. What, am I an influencer? *looks at number of followers on Instagram* No, I am absolutely not an influencer. True story, my mom has 15,000 more followers than me on Instagram. That is not an exaggeration. We also don’t follow each other. Anyway, follow us on Instagram.
Next up, I’m talking like Veruca Salt, saying, “Dansby? Why doesn’t anyone ever like a Dansby?” Almost 50 picks separates my love for Dansby from Yahoo’s. Dansby was the 9th best player on the Player Rater last year. The rest of the top ten isn’t anywhere close to falling as low as Dansby in drafts. Not Yahoo, not anyone, no one — En Oh One — likes Dansby this year. I have no idea why. As I talk about in the top 20 shortstops, he’s a 25/12/.260 hitter. You can give two homers here, take away three steals there, add in ten points on average or subtract them and he’s still valuable. He’s actually one of the most valuable players of the last three years, but he gets no respect. *pulls on collar like Rodney*
Okay, one last one before I give you a chart of dozens. No one likes Adolis Garcia. Similar to Dansby, he’s already been here before. He was 14th best on the Player Rater last year and great in 2021 too. For those who have Siri reading this, I didn’t just say 20212. You did not hit your head and wake up in the future. If this were 20212, you should draft Ronald Acuña Jr. Jr. Jr. Jr. Jr. Jr. Jr. Jr. Jr. Jr., the 3rd, by the way. So, Adolis has been good for the last two years and we’re just going to pretend this year he won’t be good? Why? B. Cause? O. Kay. Guys can be good for a few years in a row, then be bad. It can happen, but to just predict it to the point where he falls off almost 60 draft spots, it doesn’t make sense for me. Though, I also very much love Adolis Garcia. Don’t hate the player, hate the giant heart I have.
All right, enough ha on the hoo, I’m going to list players in a handy chart. The Thank You’s have it. It being good value from my rankings vs. Yahoo’s. The No Thank You’s don’t have it. They’re bad people. Meh, they might be okay people, but they’re likely not ending up on any of my Yahoo drafted teams. For this, I’ll be using my 2023 fantasy baseball rankings (go figure!) and Yahoo’s 2023 fantasy baseball rankings (crazy, right?). Note: I wrote this the other day, so if the numbers aren’t exactly right, it’s because they heard my footsteps.
THANK YOU
