You need a third entry. Look on your 20 dollar bill.

Great song BTW. Also, I actually thought that was him at first because I know is other passion besides baseball is music.
@Kevin: “Look on your 20 dollar bill.” Ha!

@Grey: Wait a minute, Nick Lowe is a white haired old bastard?
Seems like just yesterday he was in New Kids on the Block, or the Archies or some shizz like that.
@BigFatHippo: That’s Peter Gammons…Peter Gammons…Peter Gammons…

Maybe throw in a little old McCartney and you have a four headed baseball loving, national bank opposing, Cruel To Be Kind writing, Beatle.

Should I trade Braun and Stephen Drew for Reyes and Abreu in my keeper league?
My only SB guys are Kinsler, Crawford, and Markakis (I guess). So Reyes and Abreu would help. But my team name is “Braun’s Bombers” so I’d feel guilty about trading Braun and would have to think of a new name.
@Ashley: I’d hold onto Braun and Drew.

NASA researchers cannot describe the level of awesome that theme song approaches.
March 21st, 2009 at 11:41 am
@Grey: Why?
There isn’t much depth at SS so I figured that would make Reyes more valuable than Braun. And they’re both the same age I think. Do you think Abreu can put up 100 runs, 20 hr, 100 rbi, 20 sb, .300 again?
I just don’t know that I trust Stephen Drew.. Or anyone on Arizona. No one on that team has much discipline, they all just seem to swing for the fences.
March 21st, 2009 at 11:43 am
hahaha I had to give that a few encores. wow
@Ashley: i’d definitely keep your guys
@Tbatter: Peter Gammons…Peter Gammons…Peter Gammons…
@Ashley: Cause.
I love Drew this year. Abreu’s old and on the Angels. Drew and Abreu are near a push, but Drew has more upside obviously. Braun can hit 40 HRs and steal 20 bases. Those are number one fantasy player numbers. Finally, you have Crawford already. You’re going not going to be hurting for steals. I like Reyes a lot, a bit more than Braun, but I don’t want Reyes on the same team as Crawford.

Hey Grey,
I still need one more person for the RCL commenter leagues. A few dudes got the can and had to drop out of the $50 league. Just an update.
@Anthony Gonzalez: Okay, are you trying to get one more person or is it on me?
March 21st, 2009 at 12:03 pm
@Grey: Thanks for elaborating! Hopefully Drew can steal 10 bases.
That guy has Reyes, Ellsbury, McLouth, Abreu, and Damon.. Don’t think anyone will be beating him in steals.

You were right, simultaneous is a must.

John Maine had a craptastic outing today. I have been targeting him late in my drafts. Do ya’ll think he’s going to be useless the first half of the season?

Grey-
Just found your site this spring; big fan so far. Let me ask you a question:
I’m in a keeper league with 4 keepers each year. It’s standard 5×5 head-to-head, 9 offensive players. A guy offered me Webb for Kazmir and Justin Upton.
Upton is my fourth outfielder right now (so he’s on my bench). Do I pull the trigger on this trade? How soon do you see Upton becoming a star?
Any others who care to comment, I’m all ears. The trade expires tomorrow.

I just dropped four Peter Gammons today to join another league. Too much drafting…
@Doc: Nope.
@Griff: I wouldn’t do the trade.
March 21st, 2009 at 9:07 pm
@Griff: Let that trade expire. J Up could take a big step forward this season. Kazmir might just be undervalued this year.

Jim Rome has been calling Peter Gammons Andrew Jackson for years.
