1. OF Justin Crawford | 22 | AAA | 2026

I’ve been comparatively high on Crawford for a long time because I struggle to imagine a scenario where this guy fails to be valuable in our game. A left-handed hitter at 6’2” 188 lbs, he hasn’t elevated the ball much yet in his career, but that’s coming, and in the meantime he’s hitting well over .300 at every rung of the organizational ladder. In his final 52 games of the season, Crawford slashed .340/.418/.492 with six home runs, 20 stolen bases and a 16.7 percent strikeout rate. The math I’m trying to silence in my brain is of course not how baseball works, but if you multiply that by three, you get a glimpse at Crawford’s potential across 156 games.

1. OF Justin Crawford | 21 | AA | 2025

A right-handed thrower and left-handed hitter at 6’2” 188 lbs, Justin Crawford evokes his father at a glance and on the field, prompting the Phillies to take him 17th overall in 2022. The game moved in his direction over that off-season, opening up the base paths to speedsters with the aggression to run. In 110 games across two levels this year, Crawford swiped 42 bases in 51 attempts while slashing .313/.360/.444 with nine home runs and 93 strikeouts.

After coming over from San Diego as part of the return for Dylan Cease, White Sox RHP Drew Thorpe has posted a tremendous season for Double-A Birmingham and was rewarded for his efforts with a promotion straight past Triple-A and into the majors for Tuesday’s game. He threw five innings against Seattle and allowed one earned run. In 60 Double-A innings, Thorpe’s double-plus command and changeup helped him produce a 0.87 WHIP and 1.35 ERA along with 56 strikeouts and 17 walks.
