Welcome to the final 2022 iteration of the SAGNOF steals article. Nearly every week, we have taken a look at the stolen base market for players to add who could help us to win our fantasy leagues. Hopefully, you all were able to take something that I wrote and put it to good use for your own purposes. With the season winding down it is important to note injuries, milestones, and players who could be rested due to their teams being out of it
- Most players will be likely owned but when planning, know they likely may be looking to get to those numbers. Ronald Acuna Jr and Bobby Witt are both at 28 steals and could look to reach 30. At the 20 border, Thairo Estrada is at 19 and still may be available in some leagues. Some other players near 10 steals who could add 1-2 more are Javy Baez, Adam Frazier, Cesar Hernandez
- CJ Abrams is likely owned by most people but he has three steals in the last two weeks, and with the Nationals out of all races he will get full run
- Nick Allen is another player who falls into the category of teams out of contention. He plays nearly every day and has swiped two bags in the same time span.
Make sure to pay close attention to the injury reports as players with small injuries are much more likely to sit out of games and to get extra rest as there is little incentive for teams to push their players. This is not the case for the Braves, Mets, Phillies, and Brewers as all of these teams are in dogfights trying to make the playoffs. You can confidently play your studs on these teams if looking for stolen bases.

With so few games to play, the guys on this list are even more likely to be sat that the normal everyday player. The season is long and catchers undoubtedly take on more than any other players. We can continue to attack our same teams: Marlins, Rangers, and White Sox though. The Marlins finish their season with the Braves and Brewers, both teams who are still contending and have reason to play. You likely won’t find these players in free agency, but you’ll be able to start your players confidently. The Rangers finish the season with the Angels and the Yankees. For the Yankees, check for Oswaldo Cabrera and Isiah Kiner-Falefa who could play regularly as others are rested and have enough speed to take advantage. The White Sox end with the Padres and Twins, so similarly to the other teams, you likely will not find a ton of these guys on wires but you will be able to start your speed guys confidently.
