We got a late update last week and I dropped the note in the comments, but in case you missed it: we officially have Master Standings! Finally! Three weeks to go and we can now see that Stolen Vortex (RCL 6) is kind of running away with things. To celebrate our Master Standings being live, I have expanded the top ten to the top twenty so we can see where everyone is landing here as we move towards the finish. The RCL overall might be close to locked up, but there are many races out there that are completely up in the air. We have a handful of leagues with four teams all within striking distance of the lead. Thanks to VinWins for pointing these out:
RCL 1
91 Exit Velo City
90 DesMoinesH2O
85.5 Blue Squadron 1
85 Kitten Mittens
RCL 2
86 cjsullivan3
83 Boh
82 Cavendish
81.5 foulballs
COUGS R US
89 Merry Band of Schmohawks
89 Fred Garvin MP
84.5 NY Sturgeon King
83.5 AllRice
RCL 18
93 Gunk Squad
90 Laura Holt
88.5 Bluefield Baby Birds
87 Gascoin
DFSers
87 The Lineup Builder
84.5 MattTruss223
84 Creative Chaos
83.5 FANTASY ICON
These will be some fun races to keep tabs on down the stretch, along with our RCL race. Good luck, everyone!
Each week we’ll peek in at our resident ‘perts to see who is laying claim to best “expert” RCLer in the land. We’ll take notes, check the standings and generally stalk them. The heading is also hyperlink, so feel free to follow along as we go.
Speaking of close races, the Perts League is shaping up to be a good one too, with three teams within striking distance. Grey talked a big game last week and followed that up by losing two points and falling to third as Cram It gained one and Son gained 3.5. Grey led the league in saves and ERA but Son led the way in Runs, RBI, SBs, WHIP, and co-led in Wins. Grey is falling victim to a serious lack of win-luck as his 67 Wins are almost 20 less than Cram It’s in roughly the same amount of innings.
Each week we’ll also take a look at the top ten overall standings in our other Razzball sponsored league, the RazzSlam. This is our NFBC Best Ball league with managers from all across the industry, from content providers to fans and readers just like you.
As someone who can never gain any ground in the Razzslam, I’m not sure what a close race looks like here, but Ryan Beck and Chris Clegg appear to have the makings of one with three weeks to go.

There we have it, there are still plenty of swings to happen as teams finish out their IP down the stretch, but I imagine many of these top teams will be here in the end. The top 20 features some of the best of the best, many from our legacy leagues, however, eight of the top ten are from our standard leagues. I love that. We have two teams from FCL and Laura’s NOTLZ team is making a nice push, per usual. Those poor saps who invited her to that league don’t know what hit them. Good luck to everyone making their last pushes.
WEEKLY LEADERS
The best of the best from the week that was.
R – 66 – re-up (again) (RCL 37)
HR –23 – Stolen Vortex (RCL 6)
RBIs – 63 – 63 Over-Nite Sensation (FCL)
SB – 21 – dwightford (RCL 6)
AVG – .345 – Freetacos (RCL 22)
K – 114 – Coconut Bangers Ball (Crab Army)
W – 8 – Ghost of Yogi Berra (RCL 27)
SV – 11 – Save the World (RCL 13), Highland Park Hounds (RCL 11), & Bayou Swampers (RCL 28)
ERA (Min. 40 IP) – 1.42 – CaptainObvious (RCL 29) (in 44.1 IP)
WHIP (Min. 40 IP) – 0.738 – Beefstu127 (RCL 34) (in 42 IP)
No new records this week, but shout out to RCL 6 for posting two teams in the weekly leaders. Our yearly SB record (270) doesn’t stand a chance with these kinds of numbers. We have quite the race heading into the final few weeks:
261 – EarlThePearl#17 (RCL 17)
261 – All Who Wander (RCL 15)
260 – Tuck It In (RCL 29)
258 – Vin 10 (RCL 10)
257 – JFCan (RCL 13)
These numbers are wild. For reference, all RCL teams stole at least 1 base this week, 16 had 15+! THe average this week was seven steals. These rule changes have had a major impact and I like it.
A couple more stats from the week from VinWins:
36 teams hit over .300; 9 teams hit under .200
30 teams had an ERA under 2.00; 21 teams had a 7+ ERA
17 teams had 0 Wins; 116 teams had 0 Saves.
TEAM OF THE WEEK
Our weekly shout out to the team that killed it the previous week.
Team: Stolen Vortex
League: RCL 6
Stats: AVG: .271, R: 53, HR: 23, RBI: 58, SB: 6
IP: 60.2, ERA: 3.26, WHIP: 1.071, K: 71, W: 3, SV: 7
Summary: Stolen Vortex has been close a couple times to winning TOW honors and it’s long overdue, to be honest. What a time to win it too, right as Master Standings are live and they are blowing the competition out of the water. Amazing. SV didn’t have the win-luck this week, but the rest of the numbers are drool-worthy. Leading the RCLs in HRs, a 10.6 K/9, to go with seven saves…yes, please. Julio Rodriguez and Corey Seager led the offense this week with nine homers between them while Cole Ragans and Logan Allen went stud-mode on the pitching side. Nice work, SV, and good luck putting a bow on this thing.
