19 trades involving 53 players have already been completed, as the season can’t start soon enough. I acquired Brett Lawrie to join Corey Hart, Derek Jeter, and Pablo Sandoval in my single DL slot. The whining has begun. Clayton Kershaw was traded yesterday (along with Omar Infante) for Jedd Gyorko, Jeff Samardzija, and Bobby Parnell. And last night, Giancarlo Stanton was flipped for Jason Heyward and Alex Cobb. Check out the Fantasy Baseball forums all season long to see what kind of deals are being made. Mitchell Boggs has been a key pickup this week after the injury of Jason Motte. Some are grabbing Trevor Rosenthal as well since the Cards will be sure to try different closers if Boggs doesn’t make an impression early. (I drafted Boggs, but of course had already dropped him. Waaa.) Kyle Lohse is also being picked up now that he has signed with the Brewers, along with Aaron Hicks and Yasiel Puig.
