Hello and welcome to the SEVENTH RazzSlam spectacular, RazzSlam 7!  We are once again hosted by the folks over at NFBC.

For those who are unfamiliar, in the simplest terms possible, RazzSlam is a fantasy baseball tournament that pits “Pros vs Joes”.  There has been a steady mix of Pros who have won (Bob Cyphers of Dynasty Guru, Euan Leith of Rotoballer), and the Joes have stepped up as well (Joe Asher & last year’s champ: Robert Goldman).  So, hop in and see what you’ve got!

Here’s what you need to know about RazzSlam 7:

Invites have already gone out to anyone who has played in the past.  Check your email (including spam).  There is no need to fill out this form if you’ve already received an invite.  The form below is only for new players who want a shot at the action.

What: It’s RazzSlam 7! Free-to-enter, all are welcome!

Who: Huge names representing the biggest fantasy sites in the industry will compete alongside fans from across these great internets for the RazzSlam trophy. The field for the main event is analysts vs fans. You’ll compete against Razzball’s own Grey Albright, Rudy Gamble, and me (MattTruss), and some of the top names from other fantasy sites. In 2025 we were joined by Vlad Sedler, Chris Towers, Justin Mason, Yancy Eaton, Geoff Pontes, Eric Cross, and many more!

Who will join us in 2026? Why not you?

Where: The NFBC will graciously host the ‘Slam, using their Cutline Championship Format.

Why: For the love of the game, of course! Also bragging rights. Bragging rights are super underrated, you guys.

When: Slow drafts with a 4-hour per pick clock will begin at noon ET on Tuesday, March 4th.

How: To participate, fill out the form below and click submit. A fan lottery will take place near the draft season. The fan lottery will consist of people who are premium tools subscribers and a selection of “Cheap Ass Fans” who don’t subscribe to the tools.  Tools guarantee you a spot.

Format: This contest will mirror the NFBC Best Ball Cutline Championship Rules, except we’ll feature 12 team leagues rather than 10 team leagues. Here is everything you need to know about the 2026 RazzSlam Rules and Format.

Too late to ask another question Matt, since I am new to Razzslam and NFBC?

Question relates to our first FAAB waivers run this week. The rule give an example to conditional bids as follows:

Example:
Acquire Jo Adell, $19, cut Jorge Soler
Acquire Luis Rengifo, $16, cut Jorge Soler
Acquire Ben Joyce, $2, cut Jorge Soler

However, I expect to be making more bids on players than I have players to cut, and don’t want to lose the bid because I already cut the player in another bid. So, using those examples above, would it also be feasible (not ridiculous) to structure based on the acquisitions, not the cuts?

Alternate Example:
Acquire Jo Adell, $19, cut Jorge Soler
Acquire Jo Adell, $19, cut Sparky Anklebiter
Acquire Jo Adell, $19, cut Nadir Bupkus

Acquire Luis Rengifo, $16, cut Jorge Soler
Acquire Luis Rengifo, $16, cut Sparky Anklebiter
Acquire Luis Rengifo, $16, cut Nadir Bupkus

Acquire Ben Joyce, $2, cut Jorge Soler
Acquire Ben Joyce, $2, cut Sparky Anklebiter
Acquire Ben Joyce, $2, cut Nadir Bupkus

Will this work??

Hi Matt, In the RCL league sign ups, your $20 league and the one below it, have the wrong day or date. At the bottom of the sign up list.

Hope I get picked. It will give me another excuse not to grade papers.

PS: My mentor teacher was Jeff Kent’s high school baseball coach and he has stories.

I entered. Will be fun to see if I get in. Good thing it’s free since I am Dead Money (should be my team name).

Is Shohei Ohtani a single player in this league format, or does he get drafted as both a hitter and pitcher? Poked around on the NFBC and RazzSlam rules and couldn’t quite figure that one out.

I’d like to play, is it true for fantasy baseball, you have to be 38 and older?

New Fantrax Dynasty Baseball League – Founding Members Wanted
I am starting a brand new Fantrax Dynasty league from scratch and looking for dedicated managers to join. Here are the core details:
• League Size: 12 teams
• Buy-in: $50
• Format: Classic Roto categories
• Rosters: 40-man total (26 active/bench + 14 Minor League spots)
• The Initial Draft: A 40-round Snake Draft. (It’ll be a marathon the first time, but it sets the foundation for years to come!)
• Player Pool Rules: No mid-season pickups for players drafted this year or J2 (International) signings. The goal is to keep those for the annual supplementary drafts.
• Future Drafts: Linear (non-snake) in reverse order of the previous year’s standings.
