Happy June, RCLers! Where does the time go? Apparently, it gets lost to hamstring and oblique injuries. We’re back with another Master Standings update for the first of the month. I can tell you with confidence that none of my teams made any big pushes during May. Maybe yours fared better, though! Do we have a new leader in the clubhouse? Which league is the toughest so far? Who is leading the RCLs in HRs? All this will be answered and more in the week that was week 10 in the Razzball Commenter Leagues.
Each week we’ll peek in at our resident ‘perts to see who is laying claim to best “expert” RCLer in the land. We’ll take notes, check the standings and generally stalk them. The heading is also hyperlink, so feel free to follow along as we go.

The standings stayed about the same this week, Son and I swapped spots at the bottom of the barrel, and Marmos and Coolwhip swapped spots in the middle of the pack. Derek held onto first, and Kirksey slipped even further in the hole, dropping a league-worst 10.5 points this week, ouch. Marmos and Son tied for the most points gained, each picking up six.
Each week we’ll also take a look at the top ten overall standings in our other Razzball sponsored league, the RazzSlam. This is our NFBC Best Ball league with managers from all across the industry, from content providers to fans and readers just like you.

The RazzSlam standings have really leveled off as well, with the top ten teams remaining the same, just rearranging themselves. Andy jumped back into first while Josephs and Matt C leaped over Kevin. Our very own AD Hamley was the biggest mover this week, picking up a league-best 773 points and moving up 79 spots into the top 100 at 64th overall.
**IMPORTANT REMINDER: THE SECOND AND FINAL FAAB RUN FOR RAZZSLAM IS TONIGHT, LAST CHANCE TO CHANGE YOUR SQUAD FOR THE FINAL STRETCH!**

There’s a drive into deep left field held onto the top spot in the Master Standings for another update! As a matter of fact, the entire top five is the same teams, with DFresh and Bucks in 6 swapping spots. Cjsullivan3 (who is also your HR leader at 147 – Vin has more on their month below) moved up from 15th to crack the top ten, in sixth, while mrogovin99 held onto seventh place. Man or Stroman? Fell to 20th with his COUGS team, but his RCL 22 team went on a tear to move into 11th and give him two teams in the top 20, that’s impressive. COUGS is a ridiculous league, but it is not the toughest league so far, that honor goes to the Laura Holt Challenge, currently boasting a 106 LCI (to COUGS 104). LHC has been such a grueling battle, the highest team is Ducks Eat Free at Subway, currently sitting at 51st overall with 79 league points.
The biggest movers from this past period were Backdoor Cutters (NOTLZ) who went from 469th last update to 162nd, a 307 spot increase. 36.5 League points to 67.5 will do that for you. Going the other way was another legacy league manager, Vegans(E) (ECFBL) who dropped from 132nd last time we spoke to 394th this update. These legacy leagues will do that. I’ve been lucky enough to never make it higher than 8th in ECFBL this year, so nowhere to go but up, I guess.
We have five weeks until our next update (first Tuesday of every month), plenty of time to make some moves and see how far up the standings you can get!

WEEKLY LEADERS
The best of the best from the week that was.
R – 67 – Texas Flood (RCL 31)
HR –25 – Hankg (RCL 17)
RBIs – 64 – Texas Flood (RCl 31)
SB – 16 – Hey you, Hey! Neo Suarez!!! (RCL 34)
AVG – .339 – Acevedodavid15 (RCl 17)
K – 87 – Licketty Splots (RCl 21)
W – 9 – Kangaroo Court (DFSers Anonymous)
SV – 8 – 1DraftDodgers (RCL 14) & Press Your Luck – No Whammies! (RCL 4)
ERA (Min. 40 IP) – 1.02 – TheThreeReynolds (RCl 5) (in 44.1 IP)
WHIP (Min. 40 IP) – 0.715 – Vin Eleven (RCL 11) (in 43.1 IP)
Hanky tied the weekly HR mark this week, and Acevedodavid15 beat the average record by 0.001, nice work! Vin hit the low mark for WHIP this week, but as he said, this team is already in last place, so it’s not a big deal. Gotta start somewhere, though!
Speaking of Vin, some more stat goodness from him this week:
32 teams had an ERA under 2, while 28 teams were over 6.
3 teams hit under .200, and 41 hit over .300.
123 teams had 0 saves this week!
36.5% of games have been played. 365 IP is on pace for 1000. 511 IP is on pace for the max 1400.
21 teams have made 0 moves. The average is 51 moves. TrixMcGee (RCL 26) leads with 222 (182 moves is on pace for the maximum 500.)
123 teams recording zero saves is wild! Just goes to show the state of the bullpen chaos this year.
Vin also puts together a Team of the Month every month, which you can see HERE. Congrats to cjsullivan3 (RCL #9), who was 3.5 points out of first at the end of April. They are now in first, 4.5 ahead.
TEAM OF THE WEEK
Our weekly shout out to the team that killed it the previous week.

Team: CPWinos
League: RCL 32
Stats: AVG: .311, R: 60, HR: 20, RBI: 62, SB: 7
IP: 64.2, ERA: 2.92, WHIP: 1.16, K: 58, W: 4, SV: 5
Summary: Talk about a banner week! CPWinos didn’t lead in any one category, but were close in all of them. Yordan Alvarez led the Winos offense, hitting .308 with five home runs, eight runs batted in, and eight runs scored. Ian Happ finally showed signs of life with three homers and ten driven in. Jeremy Pena also knocked three out of the park and stole two bases. He hit .360 and scored eight runs. Munetaka Murakami homered three consecutive days and stole a base, but ended the week on the IL. That will be a big blow to many offenses. On the pitching side, Aaron Ashby threw five scoreless innings in three appearances and earned his ninth win. Merrill Kelly and Bryce Miller each won one of their two starts, with Miller fanning ten in ten innings. Logan Gilbert struck out six in six scoreless innings for another win. Bryan Baker and Jake Latz each recorded two saves, while David Bednar chipped in another. The big week didn’t totally translate into league success, but it did boost CP up two points this week to move up one spot to second.
Want to be my internet pal? That’s kinda creepy, but you can follow me on the bluest of skies: @matttruss.bsky.social
Tough luck for the May TEAM OF THE MONTH, losing both Elly and Munetaka to injury (already without Hunter Greene as well).
Without looking at the article, I’m gonna guess I’m not the team of the month.
Looking now, woo hoo! Finally a good RCL result!
Hahaha
