We are in the thick of draft season now, and we have real, live draft data to sift through. Numbers nerds, assemble! We have spreadsheets, charts, and ADP, oh my! It was a busy week here at Razzball Commenter Leagues HQ, but I’ve gone through each league that has drafted and added their drafts to a master spreadsheet in order to calculate RCL ADP. We’ve had 18 leagues draft already! That’s plenty enough to start drawing some conclusions from. We have plenty more leagues to fill up, including some spots in some money leagues which tend to be a little more competitive (including weekend drafts both featuring VinWins! Scroll to the end and join a league now!).
PSA: We don’t want to have any leagues get axed, so if you notice your league is not full the day of or day before the draft, hit us up on socials: @Razzball or @MattTruss and let us know. You can also leave a comment in Grey’s most recent post and/or invite a friend to join. I know, sacrilege to tell your fantasy baseball friends you read Razzball, but sharing is caring. Speaking of sharing, jump below, and I’ll share with you a fancy RCL ADP spreadsheet for your perusing pleasure.
DRAFT TRENDS
We’ve got 18 leagues’ worth of draft data to peek at. Being first to draft means first to be criticized, so we’ll dive into the numbers and see what’s going on in the early draft season.
THE FIRST PICK OF THE 2026 FANTASY BASEBALL DRAFT IS…
Shohei Ohtani (17) – Not much of a surprise here, only one league where someone grabbed Aaron Judge ahead of the unicorn. The appeal of some dual Ohtani action keeps him in the number one spot. He’s too good. Will his hitting drop a bit? Maybe. Will you ever play him at pitcher? Maybe not. Am I ever going to doubt Shohei Ohtani regarding baseball? Never.
WE DON’T NEED NO STINKIN’ NFBC ADP
We’ve got RCL ADP! Here’s a list from our 18 league sample of some guys I’m lusting for this year and some general notes. If there’s an ADP you’re curious about for my next update, fire away, and I’ll add them to the chart next time out. This time around, I decided to look at some of the kids everyone is excited to draft, as well as some soon to be AARP members.
| PLAYER | ADP | HI | LO | DIFF |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Paul Skenes | 10.78 | 7 | 20 | 13 |
| James Wood | 26.56 | 19 | 33 | 14 |
| Roman Anthony | 38.67 | 15 | 47 | 32 |
| Luke Keaschall | 89.72 | 66 | 113 | 47 |
| Nolan McLean | 104.78 | 85 | 122 | 37 |
| Jakob Marsee | 123.39 | 98 | 166 | 68 |
| Trey Yesavage | 130.89 | 101 | 160 | 59 |
| Chandler Simpson | 151.83 | 122 | 196 | 74 |
| Munetaka Murakami | 162.06 | 121 | 190 | 69 |
| Konnor Griffin | 163.39 | 111 | 222 | 111 |
| Kazuma Okamoto | 166.83 | 108 | 213 | 105 |
| Jac Caglianone | 169.56 | 129 | 220 | 91 |
| JJ Wetherholt | 213.11 | 144 | 296 | 152 |
| Kevin McGonigle | 224.83 | 152 | 300 | 148 |
Despite a rocky finish to the season, James Wood is hovering around a second round pick this year.
I’ve seen everyone calling for Roman Anthony to breakout this year, and at this ADP, he better.
I joked at the end of last season that I might draft Trey Yesavage on every team. Well, so far, he’s definitely my highest rostered player.
Munetaka Murakami & Kazuma Okamoto are two guys I’m very interested in and have been drafting often. I’m finding 3B a pretty weird spot to fill. Either you get lucky enough to draft Jose Ramirex or Junior Caminero, you grab Machado, Maikel, or Suarez later, or you are stuck taking a chance on an unknown. For me, that unknown has been one of these guys or Marcelo Mayer super late. Pray for me.
I am also super interested in how our stud middle infielders shake out. Griffin, Wetherholt, and McGonigle have all seen their ADPs rise as drafts have gone on. At this rate, Griffin will be a fifth-round pick by March 22nd. I’m most interested in McGonigle, though, and think he’s going to be the value pick of the bunch. I’m yet to draft him, as I have a ton of CJ Abrams and am yet to be patient enough to not fill MI by pick 200.
Now, out with the new, in with the old:
| PLAYER | ADP | HI | LO | DIFF |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chris Sale | 47.83 | 29 | 67 | 38 |
| Mookie Betts | 49.61 | 25 | 59 | 34 |
| Freddie Freeman | 58.72 | 39 | 71 | 32 |
| Jose Altuve | 94.61 | 78 | 108 | 30 |
| Aroldis Chapman | 92.94 | 67 | 129 | 62 |
| Sonny Gray | 116.5 | 86 | 152 | 66 |
| Matt Chapman | 116.89 | 91 | 144 | 53 |
| Mike Trout | 156.89 | 133 | 180 | 47 |
| Jack Flaherty | 211.28 | 185 | 244 | 59 |
This is a rough group all around. I’ve grabbed one reluctant share of Aroldis Chapman. I would grab a Mike Trout share at this price, and the only player here I’m actively targeting is Jack Flaherty. I could probably be talked into a Mookie Betts share at around pick 50, I just haven’t been yet. Too many exciting players around that spot.
Any of these vets you’re nervous about drafting?
If you made it this far, you earn a reward. I told you I was a numbers nerd. Now you can take a look at any player you want, as more and more data is collected. I’ll be keeping that sheet up to date as I collect draft data, so bookmark it and check back often. Next, head down to the spreadsheet below and fill up some more leagues so we have even more data to chew through!
TO JOIN A LEAGUE
Click the LINK in the ‘League Link’ column (see below grid) for the time you want and voila, you’re in. If you’re not signed up at Fantrax, you need to do that too (it’s free). Damn, that’s too easy. Oh, I guess I should also mention make sure you’re joining a league for free or for money, depending on your preference. That’s it! You can join as many leagues as you like. If you accidentally join a league, you can quit a league by going to OTHER –> All Options –> Quit League (located at the bottom). Now go join some leagues!
Want to be my internet pal? That’s kinda creepy, but you can follow me on the bluest of skies: @matttruss.bsky.social
I want to meet the mad lad that drafted Roman Anthony at 15 overall. May we all have their Dunkin Donuts-fueled confidence.
Haha
