We have another week’s worth of draft data (five more leagues) to work with and about three weeks left of the Razzball Commenters League draft season. Now that we finally have good baseball news (and some bad…FTJ, we hardly knew your 2022 season) you should celebrate by drafting a dozen or so RCL teams! We have plenty of spots to fill, including a league drafting Thursday (3/17) at 10 PM, grab a Guiness and draft! Click that link and you’re in! We have a couple money leagues with spots to fill this weekend. Go get that money (some of which is mine)! The sign-up sheet is linked at the end of this article, just scroll down and you’ll see all the open leagues. While you’re here, we can dive into our RCL ADP and see what Razzball Commenters are drafting so far; handy info for these upcoming drafts.
DRAFT TRENDS
This week we’re going to look at Razzball’s favorite SAGNOF specialists and where you can draft some late steals and saves. For steals, we’ll take a look at every player that Grey has projected for more than 20 SBs. For Saves, I’ll just grab as many closers and potential closers as I can think of. If I miss a name, feel free to open up the RCL ADP SPREADSHEET that I maintain for all of your viewing pleasure. I’ve seen plenty of anonymous animals with that spreadsheet open and I’d consider it a great resource during your RCL drafts. You can also just copy out the data to your own Excel sheet and use it in your own War Room if that tickles your fancy. Enjoy and deity of choice speed.
WE DON’T NEED NO STINKIN’ NFBC ADP
We’ve got RCL ADP! Here’s a list from our 10 league sample of some players whose ADPs I was curious about and some general notes.
PLAYER | Proj SBs | ADP | HI | LO |
---|---|---|---|---|
Fernando Tatis Jr. | 25 | 1.1 | 1 | 2 |
Trea Turner | 33 | 2.5 | 1 | 4 |
Jose Ramirez | 25 | 5.6 | 3 | 9 |
Bo Bichette | 28 | 6.1 | 3 | 7 |
Ronald Acuna Jr. | 23 | 7.8 | 4 | 12 |
Cedric Mullins | 26 | 33.5 | 23 | 41 |
Starling Marte | 32 | 39.2 | 30 | 55 |
Tim Anderson | 22 | 39.7 | 24 | 53 |
Whit Merrifield | 26 | 45.6 | 33 | 58 |
Adalberto Mondesi | 32 | 61.5 | 40 | 89 |
Jazz Chisholm Jr. | 27 | 84.5 | 72 | 93 |
Tommy Edman | 26 | 98.6 | 73 | 111 |
Bobby Witt Jr. | 24 | 102.1 | 87 | 118 |
Myles Straw | 32 | 142.4 | 76 | 175 |
Akil Baddoo | 21 | 170.2 | 133 | 215 |
Lane Thomas | 21 | 255.5 | 206 | 300 |
Brandon Marsh | 21 | 298.1 | 288 | 300 |
Jorge Mateo | 23 | N/A | N/A | N/A |
SAGNOF is having a rough time this year. It would seem that if you don’t get your steals in the first 100 picks, you’re going to be hurting for speed later on. Miles Straw and Akil Baddoo are the proof in the pudding there. These two are needs based picks and their range of ADP shows that. If you’re counting on Miles Straw to save your steals and some other team nabs him at pick 90, you’re going to be forced to make some choices.
Brandon Marsh is a guy I keep forgetting about in my drafts so far. Maybe it’s because I’m not specifically looking for speed late, or because I’ve been filling my OF fast, but I need to keep him in mind. Likewise, everyone has forgotten about Jorge Mateo, but he could be an RCL waiver wire hero for those who just lost Tatis and need to fill a middle infield spot and SAGNOF.
For saves, I grabbed everyone that Grey has projected for more than 10 saves:
PLAYER | Proj SVs | ADP | HI | LO |

Josh Hader | 38 | 44.5 | 37 | 51 |
Liam Hendriks | 39 | 52.2 | 32 | 61 |

Emmanuel Clase | 32 | 91.4 | 61 | 114 |
Ryan Pressly | 31 | 97.5 | 77 | 120 |
Edwin Diaz | 35 | 98.6 | 72 | 113 |
Aroldis Chapman | 36 | 110.4 | 73 | 133 |
Jordan Romano | 28 | 116.7 | 88 | 143 |
Will Smith | 35 | 132 | 112 | 146 |
Giovanny Gallegos | 15 | 143.1 | 124 | 156 |
Kenley Jansen | 35 | 143.6 | 122 | 165 |

Dylan Floro | 19 | 236.3 | 180 | 298 |
Lou Trivino | 23 | 245.9 | 211 | 292 |
Jake McGee | 25 | 246.5 | 172 | 288 |
Andrew Kittredge | 14 | 267 | 244 | 299 |
Ken Giles | 16 | 267.5 | 222 | 300 |
Rowan Wick | 15 | 271 | 220 | 300 |
Kyle Finnegan | 24 | 290.2 | 246 | 300 |
Pierce Johnson | 14 | 294.9 | 281 | 300 |
Alex Colome | 15 | 299.6 | 296 | 300 |
Tyler Wells | 18 | N/A | N/A | N/A |
I feel like I say this every year, but the closer market just seems volatile as all heck this year. There’s the top 12 (and even then I only REALLY trust about 6) or so that it seems like you can count on for saves and then, it’s just a mess. Now that free agency is up and running, these projections are going to be fluid. It only takes one Alex Colome to ruin your Carlos Estevez dreams. My suggestion? Grab a good closer early and then spam the bottom of the barrel and hope you hit on a few.
RECENT TRENDS
With only 10 leagues worth of draft data, there haven’t been any big swings in ADP yet, but next week, we’ll see the results of injuries as well as FA signings and how that impacts our ADPs. In the meantime, go sign up for a league and add to that glorious data pool!
TO JOIN A LEAGUE
Click the LINK in the ‘League Link’ column (see below grid) for the time you want and YOU’RE IN. Damn, that’s too easy. Oh, I guess I should also mention make sure you’re joining a league for free or for money, depending on your preference. If you want a league for money, then 1) Click the link. 2) Pay the money. That’s it! No pesky third requirement! Again, Fantrax and Razzball take no money. You can join as many free or paid leagues as you like. To quit a league, go to OTHER –> All Options –> Quit League (located at the bottom). Now go join some leagues!
