Happy All Star Break my fellow RCLers. The Razzball Commenter Leagues can take a toll on your time, your social life, and your personal hygiene. I hope you’re using the break to take a shower, get out of your sweat pants, and get reacquainted with your roommates, also known as, your family. They’ve missed you. Spend a moment and remind them that you are in fact, alive and well. Show those that love you that you haven’t been lost in the wilderness for the past 14 weeks, being cared for by a pack of wolves. In fact, you’ve just been winning fantasy baseball leagues. You know, just like your idol, Son, current ‘Perts League leader who has two teams in the top five overall. Or, perhaps your idol might be Frank Grimes, current Master Standings leader. GRIMEY! Maybe you’re partial to Laura Holt, currently in eighth place in the Master Standings. Or maybe you look up to VottomanEmpire, one of the better RCL players I know, currently sitting in sixth in the Master Standings. Whomever it may be, hopefully, you’re kicking butt just like them and getting ready to keep it up in the second half. Check out the current Master Standings and the rest of the All Star Break stats in the week that was, week 14:
Each week we’ll peek in at our resident ‘perts to see who is laying claim to best “expert” RCLer in the land. We’ll take notes, check the standings and generally stalk them. The heading is also hyperlink, so feel free to follow along as we go.
There were once again no changes at the top of the ‘Perts League this week. Son stretched his score back to 104 points while Coolwhip lost a point back to 95 and I desperately tried to insert myself into the conversation, gaining two points to 86.
Blair came alive a bit this week, gaining the most points in the league (seven) and moving up the most spots (two, up to tenth!). Blair jumped over Donkey Teeth and Ralph, who each lost a spot this week, the only two teams to do so. B_Don was the biggest points dropper this week, losing six but holding onto eighth place anyway.
Grey had himself another fine week, leading the league in Wins, Saves, ERA, and WHIP. Lance Lynn and Pablo Lopez helped the cause with Joakim Soria pitching in two clean saves.
Each week we’ll also take a look at the top ten overall standings in our other Razzball sponsored league, the RazzSlam. This is our NFBC Best Ball league with managers from all across the industry, from content providers to fans and readers just like you.
Once again, the top three in the RazzSlam remain unchanged. Nicholas Mariano has built themselves quite a cushion at the top, so much so that Yatta and Joseph Asher scored ~100 and 150 more points than Nicholas this past week and they still remain ~250 and 400 points back, respectively.
Zachary Meyer moved into fourth this week, pushing Ryan Owen down to fifth while Clark Olson made a big jump from ninth to sixth thanks to a 654 point gain.
Brian Seymour fell one spot this week to seventh and JKJ moved up from tenth to eighth as he holds it down for Team Razzball.
Sammy Reid slipped two places to ninth this week and Joseph Bond makes a return to the top ten after a few weeks off, rounding us out in tenth overall.
The biggest mover this week was Chad Arnold AKA C-Mullet who picked up 748 points and moved up 38 places to 51st as a result.

I broke the news in the lede, but Grimey has taken over the top spot in the RCL universe this week thanks to a whopping 109 league points. Grimey is just 11 away from a perfect score. It looks like Grimey has room to improve in just about every category but RBIs too. We’ll be monocling RCL #36!
Son dipped to second this week, but his Writer’s League team climbed up to fourth. Two teams in the top five is very, very impressive stuff.
Team mpaltrow sneaks back into third this week, hanging out in the middle of a Son sandwich.
Orlando Calrissians remain in fifth for another week and VottomanEmpire falls from second to sixth.
Team cubbiebluez moves up one spot this week while Laura Holt takes a bit of a stumble from fourth to eighth.
WM & D makes their top ten debut this week, jumping up eight places to ninth overall and rounding us out is Disgustipated who returns to the top ten after a few weeks off.

Geez, Son, have a week why don’t you? Co-leading in almost every offensive category proves just why Son’s Writer’s League team climbed the standings this week and almost overtook his ‘Pert’s League squad. Son is having a banner season. If only the Writer’s League team had some pitching this week, we’d be looking at TOW honors too. A few other top 20 teams made this list this week, FFB and Team mpaltrow included. Stratamasta had such great pitching their ERA was lower than their WHIP, impressive!
TEAM OF THE WEEK
Our weekly shout out to the team that killed it the previous week.
Team: A Man Named Brady
League: RCL 2021 (#35)
Stats: AVG: .274, R: 46, HR: 20, RBI: 43, SB: 1
IP: 62, ERA: 2.18, WHIP: 0.919, K: 65, W: 6, SV: 1
Summary: RCL #35 has been a battle all season, I led it for some time, pushing my team into the top ten overall only to fall spectacularly as KumaDevil took the lead. A Man Named Brady is now beginning their climb up the standings, nabbed 11.5 league points this week and moving from seventh to fifth thanks to a TOW-winning effort. Brady co-led the RCL universe in HRs, which is always helpful. Going sub 1.0 in WHIP in 60+ IP is also helpful. Brady was led by Mookie Betts and Brandon Lowe on offense while Tony Disco and Zach Eflin each gave up zero runs in their six innings of work. Heck of a week Brady, not slow down before you catch me!
