The only reason he has a job is no one has the balls to fire him and the fear he will go across county lines to the real LA and succeed. Play your guys dumb ass, it’s not that hard. Funny story, so were at the bar last night and some fight breaks out, lots of broken glass, knocked over tables. About an hour later the guy I tossed out bust through the door with no shirt and two huge knives in hand flailing his arm screaming looking for the guy he was fighting with. When he learns the guy left, he just leaves without incident. That could of got really weird if the other guy was still there.

I have a tough decision to make when Votto comes back. Here is my roster:
C Wieters 1B Rizzo 2B Hill SS Rutledge 3B Lawrie OF Cargo OF Trout Granderson UTL Reddick BN Jennings DL Votto
SP Sale, Zimmerman, Gallardo, Darvish, Sheets, Fister, Medlen, Straily RP Clippard, Frieri, Wilhelmson, Holland
I’d prefer to keep 8 starters, at least 3 closers, and really only “need” one bench bat. I have a few different options:
A) Drop a hitter. I don’t really see any droppable hitters. Maybe Rizzo?
B) Drop a closer. I’m one of the few teams that has 4 closers so I could easily get by with 3.
C) Drop a starter. Outside of an injury, maybe Straily or Medlen makes this decision for me.
D) Package Sale and a hitter for a number one starter. Maybe Sale and Reddick/Jennings for an ace. Was offered Gio for my Granderson a couple weeks ago so I could revisit that trade.
Just wanted to get your thoughts on my situation.

Here’s a glossary suggestion that has no chance of being added:
Keystone-walled – When a base stealer is repeatedly sack blocked by a guy batting ahead of them. Example, “CarGo should have had at least 3 SBs last night, but he was keystone-walled by EYJ.” or “Andrus has been keystone-walled by Kinsler for most of the effin’ season.”
I don’t know about your examples… It’s more like a pitcher sitting in front of a fast guy…

I grabbed Affeldt in my h2h, now thinking that I might also want Henderson. I also have Cishek, Reed and W.Lopez for four spots, and teams usually use two of those spots for closers (and the other two for holds).
Should I drop Affeldt for Henderson, or Kelly Johnson for Henderson (not using b/c I have Pedrioa and because Johnson has blown chunks for a while)? Or just stay put? Seems that if Henderson is the closer, he’s much more likely than Lopez to see a save chance.

One other question — in another league (5 keepers for up to 3 years, snake draft) I’m holding Olt (on the bench) and Machado is sitting there. Would you make that switch and see what Machado has to offer?

What do you think of Jeff Samardzija in a dynasty league?…he was waived after that disastrous start before last and trying to figure out whether to pick him up. My staff is already strong this season, but I’m thinking he’ll make an excellent backend starter next season.
The Tree of Life was one of my favorite movies last year. I liked it in part because it had no real story arc. The film wasn’t about a narrative, it was about conveying emotions. That is Terrence Malick’s gig, and he really went with it this time around. It’s wonderful every once in a while to get a film where someone really pushes the medium as an artform in different ways. Not every movie needs to be Drive or Source Code, both films I also enjoyed.

I hesitate to say you went into the movie “wrong,” because how the hell would I know that, but I think people expecting a three act story would be immensely disappointed with it.
