Another pretty quiet week in the Razzball Commenter Leagues as most leagues have settled into a flow. It’s not too late to make moves, though. We had two more teams reach the 1400 IP pinnacle this week. This is your yearly reminder that all the pitching stats you accrue on the day you go over 1400 IP count. Which means, if you plan correctly, you can roll into a day with 1399.2 IP, go nine starters, and end up with around 1440 IP or more. There is some ratio risk here, but eyeball your standings and make the call. Can you catch a team for an extra point in strikeouts and wins while not tanking your ERA/WHIP? That’s up to you to decide. Check out your IP pace and try to hit the mark before the final week of the season when everyone else is doing the same, if you can. Here’s the rest of what went down in week 22 of the RCLs:
Each week we’ll peek in at our resident ‘perts to see who is laying claim to best “expert” RCLer in the land. We’ll take notes, check the standings and generally stalk them. The heading is also hyperlink, so feel free to follow along as we go.
Plus or minus 3-4 points per week seems to be the biggest jumps these days. Cram It and Coolwhip both gained four points, B_don gained 3.5. Mike C lost four points this week, so Kirksey took back over the top spot after gaining 2.5 points. It’s going to be pretty tight at the top, but it’s a three team race.
Each week we’ll also take a look at the top ten overall standings in our other Razzball sponsored league, the RazzSlam. This is our NFBC Best Ball league with managers from all across the industry, from content providers to fans and readers just like you.
Here are our final 20:
Team Razzball had a rough week, and Rudy fell out of it, but Knoche held on as the sole survivor from the writer group. MauledbyPandas (former RCL overall champ) also fell out. NFBC Hall of famer, Clark Olson makes another appearance in the finals and takes a shot at the grand prize. Who needs an NFBC Hall of Fame induction when you have a Razzslam overall title?

No new weekly records this week. FANTASY ICON may have had the high mark for strikeouts, but a shoutout to Judge, Jury, & Executioner (RCL 32), who had 80 Ks in 51 IP. Not a bad little 14.14 K/9.
Some more stats, courtesy of Vinwins:
16 teams had an ERA below 2.00. 27 were above 6.
18 teams hit under .200 (17 last week)
24 teams hit over .300. (19 last week)
80.7% of the schedule has been completed. 807 IP would be on pace for the 1000 IP minimum. 1129 IP is on pace for the maximum 1400 IP.
Top Batting Average down to .272. Last year the leader hit .278.
JamScandal (Night of the Living Zombinos) back on pace for the home run record.
Vin also went through and averaged all the stats for each team based on standings position. I’m not sure the data tells us much, but as Vin said, it appears the teams in 12th place might be bad.

TEAM OF THE WEEK
Our weekly shout out to the team that killed it the previous week.
Team: WM&D
League: CAUGHT LOOKING
Stats: AVG: .301, R: 59, HR: 24, RBI: 66, SB: 12
IP: 66, ERA: 3.00, WHIP: 1.106, K: 68, W: 5, SV: 3
Summary: WM&D had a huge week to take over the lead in Caught Looking, our newest legacy league. What a week it was. Vinnie Pasquantino picked up the slack as PCA continued to struggle, hitting .379 with seven runs, six home runs, and 12 runs batted in. Trea Turner had four stolen bases and a couple homers while hitting .414. He also scored seven and drove in nine. J.T. Realmuto (.421/1 SB), Freddie Freeman (.370/1 SB), and Kyle Tucker each hit 3 long balls. On the pitching side, Trevor Rogers was the ace with two wins, 16 strikeouts, and ratios of 1.29/0.929. Hurston Waldrep, Max Scherzer, and Jameson Taillon also picked up wins with excellent ratios. Max Fried threw six shutout innings and struck out seven. Sean Manaea K’d eight in 4.2 IP, but allowed 4 runs. Carlos Estevez recorded three saves with three perfect innings. The huge week boosted WM&D up 6.5 points as they are looking to peak at the perfect time. Nice work!
