It was trad-a-palooza for the final few days of the Razzball Commenter Leagues trade season. We had a whopping 23 trades get accepted in the final days. Ya’ll were busy! VIn collected a slew of trade data for us, but on the season, COUGS R US, our Champions League, had the most trades with 18. We finished the year with 172 total trades involving 489 total players, 224 of those unique. That is up 59 trades over last year. Despite that, we still had 12 leagues that didn’t make a single swap. For shame. We’ll dive in a little deeper as well as look at the rest of the stats from the week that was, week 20:
Each week we’ll peek in at our resident ‘perts to see who is laying claim to best “expert” RCLer in the land. We’ll take notes, check the standings and generally stalk them. The heading is also hyperlink, so feel free to follow along as we go.
Not much action in the Perts League this week, just some rearranging of the deck chairs in the 8th-10th place positions. The top did get a little closer, though, with Mike C dropping back a bit and now holding just a ½ point lead over Kirksey. Grey led the league in HRs, RBIs, and batting average, however, all those hits seemed to come off his own pitchers as he also had the league worst ERA and WHIP (6.31 / 1.635). Oof.
Each week we’ll also take a look at the top ten overall standings in our other Razzball sponsored league, the RazzSlam. This is our NFBC Best Ball league with managers from all across the industry, from content providers to fans and readers just like you.
Here are your current top 18 teams looking to move to the final Championship round:
Mike C had a big week to jump up into the top five, well done! Rudy is still hanging in there, too.
We also have a couple Razzball staff looking to sneak in via the last two Wild Card spots:
Best of luck!

The meat of the update this week is right here. So many deals in the final days! None look too crazy. I love Mike Trout for Chandler Simpson, personally. Those are the deals that are just totally needs-based, which is what you want right now. You have to make up ground in certain categories.

Most traded is interesting. I would expect Hader to be up there, but I wonder what makes Ian Happ so tradeable? No one cares about him, so he’s a throw-in in every deal? Maybe.

WEEKLY LEADERS
The best of the best from the week that was.
R – 62 – cpp186 (RCL 7)
HR –23 – Avrambe (RCL 3)
RBIs – 72 – nomad Inc. (RCL 19)
SB – 18 – Stumble Drunks (RCL 8)
AVG – .330 – Team Tokyo (RCL 5)
K – 116 – Chesofero (RCL 22)
W – 10 – Chesofero (RCL 22)
SV – 10 – El_Marco (RCL 22) & chronosaurus (RCL 21)
ERA (Min. 40 IP) – 1.13 – PtownAndDown (RCL 1) (in 40 IP)
WHIP (Min. 40 IP) – 0.715 – Old School Brother (FCL) (in 43.1 IP)
We set a new weekly high in strikeouts this week, and I expect more to follow as teams realize they are behind in IP and need to stream to catch up. I’m trying to get ahead of the rush in a few leagues, but time is running out. In fact, 72.9% of the schedule has been completed. 729 IP would be on pace for the 1000 IP minimum. 1021 IP is on pace for the maximum 1400 IP.
Some more stats from the week, courtesy of VinWins:
16 teams had an ERA below 2.00. 26 were above 6.
26 teams hit under .200 (3 last week)
18 teams hit over .300. (27 last week)
TEAM OF THE WEEK
Our weekly shout out to the team that killed it the previous week.
Team: Team Tokyo
League: RCL 5
Stats: AVG: .330, R: 48, HR: 21, RBI: 58, SB: 8
IP: 68, ERA: 3.18, WHIP: 1.265, K: 70, W: 5, SV: 8
Summary: Most times, when you see the highest average for the week, that team isn’t close in the power department. Not so this week, as Team Tokyo was just two HRs shy of the weekly mark. Marcell Ozuna powered the offense with four home runs and eight driven in just 15 at bats. Jo Adell added two homers and five ribbies in eight ABs. Xavier Edwards hit .417 with five stolen bases while Juan Soto provided power and speed with three long balls and two steals, along with seven runs. Carlos Correa (.455, 1 HR) and Addison Barger (.381, 2 HR) were also key contributors. On the pitching side, Shota Imanaga had two excellent outings. He failed to get a win, but struck out 16 and allowed just seven baserunners in 13 innings. Sonny Gray, Cristopher Sanchez, and Joey Cantillo each recorded a victory. Chase Burns chipped in 10 strikeouts. Trevor Megill led the relievers with four saves, while Andres Munoz and JoJo Romero earned two each. Romero also picked up a win. The impressive week moved Team Tokyo up 5.5 points and from second into the lead in RCL 5. Nice work!

i got bing simpson for randy rod in the fcl. sagnof deal of the week?
Nice one
Wish I could pull something like that…Marmos grabbed Simpson and put a Bentley price tag on him
Indeed. The Rays demoting him killed me. Lost him everywhere I had him. Sad times.
Smdh in Marmos’s direction
I did turn down Soto for Kurtz offer from him….just can’t trade that guy
Makes sense
Me too traded Chris Sanchez for him…figured I could stream. Now it’s an around 90 point 3 dog fight in that league
Hi Matt,
Would you start Sheehan at the Angels?
Thank you!
definitely
Ian Happ trades:
March: Ian Happ for Cam Smith
April: Ian Happ & Tommy Edman for Jasson Dominguez & Cam Smith
May: Carlos Rodon for Marcus Semien & Ian Happ
May: Kyle Schwarber & Byron Buxton for Brice Turang & Ian Happ
July: Bobby Witt Jr., Happ, & Hoerner for Juan Soto, Eugenio Suarez, & Gleyber Torres
