Week twenty has come and gone, a week that always seems to mark a turning point in the RCLs for me. We’re out of the teens and into the twenties, with only a handful of weeks remaining. It’s fantasy football draft week so the competition in less active leagues will be very dead from here on out. My eyes really turn to those innings pitched limits this time of year, as I try to make sure all of my teams are above 1,000 IP (and 1,100 IP is even better) so I don’t need to stream anything that walks the final week of the season. This is also the time of year when I start to loosen up my requirements for holding players a bit. Fourth outfielders that I would typically keep, may get dumped to waivers in favor of someone with a better match-up or an actual match-up if that fourth outfielder has an off day. I’m looking at all those Claims Remaining that some of my teams have right about now and thinking, “I can’t take those with me”. The race is on for counting stats and you can bet your Funyuns, that the top RCL teams will be using every move available to them.
Each week we’ll peek in at our resident ‘perts to see who is laying claim to best “expert” RCLer in the land. We’ll take notes, check the standings and generally stalk them. The heading is also hyperlink, so feel free to follow along as we go.
Son and Laura both picked up the space this week, gaining three and four points, respectively. That was enough for Laura to move into third place as Cram It dropped five points on the week. Son led the league in Runs/HRs/RBIs (and led all the RCLs in Runs) and Laura led the league in batting average. Grey piled on the innings this week, hitting 113.1 IP but only managing 84 Ks, 4 Wins and a 4.37 ERA. B_Don meanwhile threw 87.2 IP and a sparkling 1.85 ERA.
Each week we’ll also take a look at the top ten overall standings in our other Razzball sponsored league, the RazzSlam. This is our NFBC Best Ball league with managers from all across the industry, from content providers to fans and readers just like you.
It was a bad week for team Razz as Grey and JKJ fell into the realms of the unknown, also known as, below the Cutline, also known as…not in the top 18? Coolwhip is hanging on for dear life, right on the edge of elimination. I believe there is one week to go before the final cuts are made, so here’s hoping our boys can rebound.

10 | Jersey Pine 5 | Crab Army | 99.5 | 99 | 101 | 98.2 |
The top three remains as we head into the final stretch and I try desperately to hold on. AllRice made a big jump this week thanks to some stellar numbers and moved from eighth to fourth, bumping stechsjj to fifth.
Asynda Boil moves up one spot to sixth this week and Stl Squat Cobblers put on a clinic in ECFBL this week to stretch their lead and move from 21st to seventh in the overall standings. This Cobbler knows how to cobble!
Fred Garvin MP bumps up two places this week to eighth and Original Schmohawks tumbles a smidge from sixth to ninth.
Rounding things out this week is Jersey Pine 5 who find their way back in the top ten after a few-week hiatus.
WEEKLY LEADERS
The best of the best from the week that was.
R – 60 – Son (PERTS LEAGUE)
HR –22 – EvilEvies (ECFBL)
RBIs – 63 – milothecat (Night of the Living Zombinos)
SB – 11 – TT Is The Way (RCL 2022 (#17))
AVG – .346 – EvilEvies (ECFBL)
K – 111 – AllRice (RCL 2022 (#42))
W – 10 – AllRice (RCL 2022 (#42)) & razzkai (RCL 2022 (#23))
SV – 8 – Tiny Green Hats (RCL 2022 (#19))
ERA (Min. 40 IP) – 0.90 – ogdomtotino (RCL 2022 (#20)) (in 50 IP)
WHIP (Min. 40 IP) – 0.686 – Seiyantists (RCL 2022 (#10)) (in 51 IP)
EvilEvies leading the RCLs in HRs and AVG is quite impressive, that’s a different skill set and his team put it all together this week. AllRice went ham on pitching and we have two more teams hitting 10 wins, giving us a 10-way tie for the weekly record. I’m going to pop bottles when someone finally (hopefully) wins 11.
TEAM OF THE WEEK
Our weekly shout out to the team that killed it the previous week.
Team: AllRice
League: RCL 2022 (#42)
Stats: AVG: .312, R: 53, HR: 17, RBI: 55, SB: 9
IP: 104.2, ERA: 3.44, WHIP: 0.975, K: 111, W: 10, SV: 4
Summary: What a sensational week from AllRice. Normally, I roll my eyes a bit when a team with 100+ IP hits the top of the TOW charts, but these numbers don’t lie, over .300 batting average, 50+ Runs/RBIs, more steals than most in a given week, plus a sub 1 WHIP in all those IP, AllRice was cooking! Mike Trout came back to knock four dingers this week and Aaron Judge chipped in three plus a steal. JoMo had an excellent week, plus a nice streaming of Edward Cabrera for his eight shutout innings really sealed the deal for AllRice’s pitching numbers. Nice work!
