Happy All-Star break, everyone!  Hope you’re enjoying the restful week, or at the very least are spending it staring at all your Razzball Commenter Leagues rosters and wondering what went wrong.  Just me?  Despite no baseball scores, we still have lots of stats to cover from the past week, and it’s a good time to check in on our season long leaders.  Next week’s update will only be for three days, so expect a smaller version.  This week, however, we’re biggie-sized.  Let’s get to it!

‘PERTY ‘PERTS

Each week we’ll peek in at our resident ‘perts to see who is laying claim to best “expert” RCLer in the land.  We’ll take notes, check the standings and generally stalk them.  The heading is also hyperlink, so feel free to follow along as we go.

Some teams made some big moves this week, some of them even in the positive direction!  Cram It was the big winner this week, racking up 11 points and jumping from ninth to fifth as we head into the break.  He pretty much swapped spots with Grey, who lost three points and fell three spots to 11th place.  He’s just keeping Blair company down there as Blair heads into his summer hibernation.  Son lost four points and Mike C gained three as Mike made a push for first place heading into the break, but came up 3.5 points shy.

RAZZSLAM STANDINGS UPDATE

Each week we’ll also take a look at the top ten overall standings in our other Razzball sponsored league, the RazzSlam.  This is our NFBC Best Ball league with managers from all across the industry, from content providers to fans and readers just like you.

I believe that is a wrap on league play.  Razzslam scoring and cutlines always confuse me, but I’m pretty sure you need to be top two in your league right now to move into the Championship bracket.  Everyone else hits the conciliation bracket.  Taylor Case held onto the top spot and will take that lead into the Championship round.  Matt Poole and Chris Oliver had top three scoring weeks to move up the rankings and get hot at the perfect time.  Joseph Camp had the most points this week with 770, pushing him to 56th overall.  Good luck in the next round, everyone. I’ll be prepping for RazzBowl.

TRADES

All the trades that have gone down in the past week.  Public ridicule is not only allowed, but encouraged.

DATE LEAGUE DETAILS
7/8/2025 Caught Looking
Bobby Needs Deoderant traded Austin Riley & Gavin Sheets to Jack’s Team for Mookie Betts
7/11/2025 RCL 19
BadAsCan traded Mason Miller & Kenley Jansen to willmurr for Garrett Crochet & Dennis Santana
7/12/2025 Perts League
B_don traded Bobby Witt Jr., Ian Happ, & Nico Hoerner to The Great Knoche for Juan Soto, Eugenio Suarez, & Gleyber Torres

El Duderinos traded Rafael Devers, Bryce Harper, & Nico Hoener to The Team with no Name for Alex Bregman, Trevor Story, & David Bednar
7/13/2025 RCL 28
Freebirds traded Max Fried to oldrock for Ketel Marte
7/13/2025 RCL 12
CJBaseball16 traded Paul Skenes & Bryson Stott to Tiger dad for Alex Bregman & Jeremy Pena

Six deals were made this week, including a few big ones!  We had a big deal for Austin Riley right before he got injured.  That’s bad luck.  B_don has been trying to make a trade for a while, but wouldn’t accept my deal for Bo Bichette.  Instead, he lands Juan Soto for Bobby Witt.  This will be a fun one to look back on at the end of the season.  Bregman netted some big names this week too, getting swapped for Devers and Harper, and also Paul Skenes.  I’m no longer the only manager to trade Skenes this year.

Some seriously impressive numbers this week and some very nice numbers from Joe.  IronRipken leading the RCLs in slams and legs (leggies?) is ridiculous.  STL Squat Cobblers has a crazy win week, besting the old mark by two wins.

TEAM OF THE WEEK

Our weekly shout out to the team that killed it the previous week.

Team: Blow Jobes or Rosterbation?

League: RCL 34

Stats:   AVG: .284, R: 68, HR: 24, RBI: 69, SB: 9

IP: 78.2, ERA: 2.52, WHIP: 1.119, K: 87, W: 3, SV: 2

Summary: Bad week for Joe haters out there.  This week, Joe moved up from 3rd place, 8.5 points out, to 1st place, 5.5 points ahead in a top 5 LCI league.  This is the league where Joe drafted both Rooker and Schwarber and had to keep one benched for 2 months, and he’s still beating us.  Definitely not bitter about that at all.  Props where they are due, though, Joe was all-in on Kurtz at the time of his callup and also nailed the stashing of Zach Neto, both of whom helped this week.  Nick Kurtz was the offensive leader, hitting .381 with four home runs, nine runs batted in, eight runs scored, and a stolen base. Zach Neto hit .400 and scored ten runs with two homers and two steals. Also putting up impressive numbers were Brent Rooker (.409/2 HR) and Tyler Soderstrom (.391/3 HR). Cal Raleigh also added three bombs and eight ribbies, despite hitting .136. Dominic Canzone went 7 for 13 (.538) after being added on Thursday.  On the pitching side, Freddy Peralta won twice and struck out 14 with excellent ratios of 0.71/0.789. Nick Pivetta added 15 strikeouts in 12 and a third scoreless innings, and also had a WHIP under 1.00. Cristopher Sanchez also threw two fine games, winning one, allowing two runs, and K’ing 14 in 14 1/3 innings. Chase Burns (6 IP/10 K) and Sean Manaea (3.1 IP/7 K) contributed nicely to the 9.95 K/9. Tanner Scott and Will Vest added saves.  Joe plays high risk, high reward, with a bit of crazy thrown in for good measure, and sometimes that all clicks.  He also talks a lot, consider him the Will Kassouf of the RCLs.  Love him or hate him, he’s having a very nice season.

Making lunch for the kids and I had to Google Will Kassouf. This 8-minute YouTube compilation is great. Buddy is more irritating than Phil Hellmuth. Ha!

Haha! Not at all. I just didn’t know the name. I used to play a couple times a week a while back as well. Watched the shows on TV too. The High Stakes show (with Gabe Kaplan announcing) was great!

Thanks for the kind words truss. A week earlier this year for TOW honors last year I won the week right after the all star break and then my team proceeded to crash and burn that won. Hopefully this year it doesn’t. This is some silent treatment here with no one saying anything. I’m not a rookie Hitting his first dong and I’m not so dick that I’m parkman in major league to get this silent treatment. At least I don’t think so. With 4 teams in first over 95 points I hope to win one this year. Thanks again for the honor.
