We’ve just got a quick hitter this week for our Razzball Commenter League update.  With only three days in the previous week’s schedule, thanks to the All Star Break, everything is abbreviated.  There weren’t a lot of changes, but there are still some goodies to go over.  Plenty of trades were made and some decent mini weeks were had as we’ll see in the weekly leaders.  It’s pretty impressive what teams can pull off in just three days.  Let’s jump into all the juicy data from our mini week that was, week 15:

‘PERTY ‘PERTS

Each week we’ll peek in at our resident ‘perts to see who is laying claim to best “expert” RCLer in the land.  We’ll take notes, check the standings and generally stalk them.  The heading is also hyperlink, so feel free to follow along as we go.

As with most leagues this week, there wasn’t much doing in the ‘Perts league either.  The only change in the standings was B_Don and Blair dropping a spot and Ralph and Cram It moving up a spot.  B_Don lost the most points this week with 3.5 while Cram It gained the most with 4.5.  Coolwhip had themselves a day on Friday *insert popping eyes emoji*:

Well, the stay at the top was quick for Grimey, Son stormed right back, gaining another point in ‘Perts while Grimey lost one in RCL #36.  They have swapped places for now.

Son’s Writer’s League squad and Orlando Calrissians both picked up one spot, jumping over Team mpaltrow, who falls to fifth.  Son now has two teams in the top three.  My goodness.

VottomanEmpire and Team cubbiebluez remain in sixth and seventh while The TeePee joins the top ten this week, debuting in eighth and pushing Laura Holt and WM & D to ninth and tenth.

WEEKLY LEADERS

The best of the best from the week that was.

R – 37 – Team DONKEY_TEETH (RCL 2021 (#24))

HR –16 – Coolwhip (PERTS LEAGUE)

RBIs – 47 – Coolwhip (PERTS LEAGUE)

SB – 6 – Seven Teams Tied

AVG – .429 – Mr Vegas (RCL 2021 (#21))

K – 67 – Hoople Head (RCL 2021 (#16))

W – 5 – Four Teams Tied

SV –  4 – Seven Teams Tied

ERA – 0.00 – Magootown (RCL 2021 (#25)) (in 10.2 IP)

WHIP – 0.78 – SouthSideJunkin (RCL 2021 (#10)) (in 26.2 IP)

With the short week, I tossed the IP limit out the window, which left that window wide open for someone to score all zeros.  Magootown stepped right in with no runs in 10.2 IP.

Coolwhip turned his incredible Friday into an incredible week.  He had in three days what most people consider a good seven day total.  The only problem for Coolwhip was it seems that all his hitters hit all these homers off all his pitchers as he posted a 7.78 ERA in 19.2 IP.

TEAM OF THE WEEK

Our weekly shout out to the team that killed it the previous week.

Team: Mo Mohicans

League: RCL 2021 (#19)

Stats:   AVG: .341, R: 30, HR: 12, RBI: 43, SB: 4

IP: 38.1, ERA: 3.05, WHIP: 0.991, K: 42, W: 5, SV: 1

Summary: Mo Mohicans was right behind Coolwhip in the offensive categories this week but also managed to tack on a nice pitching line.  In three days Mohicans nearly hit the normal IP cutoff for a week and did so with over a strikeout per inning pitched, a sub 1 WHIP, and five wins.  Vlad Jr. led the offense with three dingers and Max Fried pitched 7 scoreless to help boost those pitching numbers.  It’s a small sample size, but still, a heck of a three-day run!
