Hello, welcome. It is the first Tuesday of a new month (where did May even go?) and that means it’s fresh Razzball Commenter Leagues standings day! Who has claimed the top spot this update? Someone who stuck with Taylor Ward through a rough start, only to be rewarded with an epic month of May, perhaps? Maybe someone who was able to snag Will Vest or Andrew Abbott off waivers? Probably not anyone who suffered through the pitchpocalypse and rostered Jesus Luzardo, Brandon Pfaadt, and Will Warren. We’ll have standings updates, plus a check-in with our resident experts, all the trades, stats, and more for you, just a scroll away.
But first, a very important announcement:
GET YOUR FAAB BIDS IN FOR RAZZSLAM TONIGHT!
This is the second and final chance to improve those teams, shed some dead weight, and go down swinging. You can’t take your FAAB with you, so blow those budgets wide open.
Now, back to our regularly scheduled update for the week that was, week 10:
Each week we’ll peek in at our resident ‘perts to see who is laying claim to best “expert” RCLer in the land. We’ll take notes, check the standings and generally stalk them. The heading is also hyperlink, so feel free to follow along as we go.
Kirksey continued to stretch his lead, adding five points this week, but Son (Dad) is still hot on his heels, adding eight points of his own. Mike C (-5.5) and Grey (-8) were the two giving away all their points this week, which only made that gap even larger. There are ten points separating Kirksey and Son, ten separating Son and Mike, and four between Mike and Grey. Mike got his ratios wrecked this week (6+ ERA), but fortunately, the IP were low (35.2)
Each week we’ll also take a look at the top ten overall standings in our other Razzball sponsored league, the RazzSlam. This is our NFBC Best Ball league with managers from all across the industry, from content providers to fans and readers just like you.
Rob held off Zachary for another week, and Taylor Case zoomed into third place overall. Case had the second most points this week (743). The Great Knoche had a great week and put himself into the top ten overall, passing Mike C. Team Razzball is looking strong. Matt Poole scored the most points this week (751), and Dave Eddy gained the most standing spots (56) thanks to 715 points of his own.
ONCE AGAIN – GET THOSE FAAB BIDS IN TONIGHT!

Well, well, well, it’s deja vu all over again as last year’s overall champ is currently sitting in first place again, even doing it from the same league! This gunk is no fluke, bumping NCPhilly from the top spot and it’s not even close. 107 league points in an ultra-competitive league is going to be very tough to take down.
Plenty of familiar names litter the rest of the top 20 as password is taco, Laura, Kirksey, Dunphy, Knoche, and more set up shop. Special callout to Backdoor Cutters, another familiar name in the overall standings who jumped up a whopping 178 spots as he battles Laura for NOTLZ glory. That will be a fun race to watch. Nice work, everyone!

Ten deals this week, including a couple of whoppers! I’d like to make it known that I have many shares of Pete Crow-Armstrong, and he was a major sleeper target for me this year, but I will gladly trade any shares for Corbin Carroll, no questions asked. Apparently, there is also someone higher on Gunnar Henderson than I am. Wowza. For my Gunnar shares sake, I hope this works out, but I also love CJ. Martin – this is how you trade Yelich.
WEEKLY LEADERS
The best of the best from the week that was.
R – 57 – Taters (RCL 27) & Vin Thirty (RCL 30)
HR –23 – Taters (RCL 27)
RBIs – 61 – Bowden’s Bohmhole Brigade (RCL 21)
SB – 19 – password is taco (RCL 14)
AVG – .344 – Taters (RCL 27)
K – 92 – Sacred Coin Flips (RCL 33) & Srbanator (RCL 22)
W – 9 – I’m not black, I’m OJ (ECFBL)
SV – 14 – Texas Flood (RCL 21)
ERA (Min. 40 IP) – 1.02 – Matt the Cat (RCL 10) (in 44 IP)
WHIP (Min. 40 IP) – 0.614 – Matt the Cat (RCL 10)
We set a new record in saves this week, with Texas Flood topping Texas Leaguers previous record of 13. I wonder if this is the same manager? (Spoiler Alert: it is) Very appropriately named “Taters” tops a trio of offensive categories this week.
Some more stats from the week from VinWins:
51 teams had an ERA below 2.00. 26 were above 6.
11 teams hit under .200 (9 last week)
37 teams hit over .300. (36 last week)
36.4% of the schedule has been completed. 364 IP would be on pace for the 1000 IP minimum. 509 IP is on pace for the maximum 1400 IP.
For some monthly stats, Vin has his Team of the Month page, HERE.
Finally, some yearly/pace stats:
JamScandal is 27 HRs ahead of 2nd best and on pace for a record 450. (The average is 104 HRs)
gilsonschmilsson22 is on pace for a record 340 steals. (The average is 71 SBs)
TEAM OF THE WEEK
Our weekly shout out to the team that killed it the previous week.
Team: password is taco
League: RCL 14
Stats: AVG: .276, R: 49, HR: 15, RBI: 45, SB: 19
IP: 100.2, ERA: 2.32, WHIP: 0.934, K: 88, W: 7, SV: 1
Summary: Ah, old friend, password is taco. Let me tell you, if Dwight Ford ends up in your league, quit the league and find another one. This manager will place several teams in the top 20 overall by the end of the season, just like last year. Taco is currently clobbering RCL 14 after picking up 15 points this week. I’d be surprised if that lead falters. Jeremy Pena was the unlikely offensive leader, hitting .435 with three home runs and four stolen bases. Jose Altuve showed some signs of life and contributed three round trippers. Jose Ramirez, Jacob Wilson, TJ Friedl all hit over .400. Chandler Simpson and Pete Crow-Armstrong each chipped in five steals. Seven different starters picked up wins, with Spencer Schwellenbach delivering the most impressive numbers – 11 strikeouts in 6.1 shutout innings. Also getting a win were Clay Holmes, Jameson Taillon, Zach Eflin, Nick Pivetta, Kyle Harrison, and Noah Cameron. Ryan Weathers added 13 Ks in his 2 starts. Devin Williams recorded the lone save. Clearly no pitchageddon here. Nice work, taco.
