So my weekly piece comes on the heels of the awesomely fantastic Stream-o-nator, which was dropped by the other fellas that run this piece.   It is a great little widget for fantasy baseball and a great stocking stuffer for the kids come Festivus.  So what else happened in the week since we checked each other out, and, by check you out I mean I was in your neighbor’s tree and all I can say is I like what you have done with your furniture.  Oh… not that checking,  gotcha, we are officially on the same page now.   So the trade deadline dropped some great nuggets of fantasy usefulness, not much in my department of 2-start lads, but still some. So here is the list of 2-start fellas that are owned in less than 50% of leagues that may be of some fantasy value, take a look, gander, or even make it your background screen saver, replacing your dog rolling in the grass, I don’t care.  I am only here to help, and maybe a little stalking amongst friends.  So good luck this week and happy fake ballin’.  (Please note that pitchers and match-ups change)

Zach McAllister (Min vs Diamond, Bos vs Cook) Winless in his last 3 outings, though let’s be honest, the Indians have been playing like they need some tee pee. I didn’t wanna go off the reservation and insult someone so I decided to not swear.

Luis Mendoza (CHW vs Peavy, @Bal vs Tillman) I don’t wanna jinx it, but the Royals have a thing called a winning streak going, albeit only 3 games.  Come on Luis, keep the royal mojo going.  We all just wanna wish you luck, we are all counting on you.

Ross Detwiler (Hou vs Lyles, @Ari vs Corbin) I like this guy as a change of pace piece in the Nat’s rotation. Has got 2 wins in his last 3 outings, team is hot, potatoes are hot.  Correlation ends there for me.

Carlos Villanueva (@TB vs Shields, NYY vs Hughes) Chuck Newhouse brings his swagger to the AL East.  That swagger maybe a limp, but from what I hear a swagger with a limp is really cool.  He may pitch well enough to just lose, but to be honest, I am expecting a HR barrage vs the Yanks.

Jeff Karstens (Ari vs Corbin, SD vs Wells) Is there such a thing as a singular Karsten, or are they only sold in multiples. For giggles, and I know it’s a small sample size, go look up his Home ERA.  Yeah, that’s what I said, without the holy in front.

Wade LeBlanc (@NYM vs Niese, LAD vs Capuano) Just recently thrust into the sinking disaster at the play-doh looking fun factory in Miami.  I honestly expect one of these 2 starts to be phenomenal,  see what I did there, I made that word start with a PH.  Ok, I was just informed that’s really how you spell it, minus 3 cool points.

Chris Tillman (Sea vs Vargas, KC vs Mendoza) Has returned from the minors and has done really. really well.  Last time I did anything in, on, or near a well, I watched a video and some lady said I would be dead in 7 days.  So positive things do exist for others and wells.

Travis Wood (@SD vs Ohlendorf, Cin vs Cueto) It wasn’t too long ago that we all thought wood would sink, well, it is now officially submerged.  Ungood is the word, though it really isn’t a word.  But, we are going with it for time constraints.

Erik Bedard (Ari vs Miley, SD vs Marquis) Is about as trustworthy as a seaman on shore leave. Looks great in a uniform and then gets VD all over your periphs.

Bronson Arroyo (@Mil vs Gallardo, @CHC vs Garza) Last 5 starts, 4 wins and an ERA under 3.  In terms of low end fantasy 2-start pitchers, he is my “Billy Baroo.”
