Weekly Razzball news delivered straight to your inbox.
I usually like to start with something like, it’s been a wild, unpredictable season in the outfield thus far! But when you look closely – and see Ronald Acuna, Randy Arozarena, Adolis Garcia and Mike Trout in the top four – nothing strikes you as particularly unbelievable. Please, blog, may I have some more?
What’s poppin, Razzpimples? Bullpen update time!
Don’t forget, the Razzball Bullpen Chart is manned by yours truly and updated like every single second (not really, but I stay on top of thangs for the most part). And directly below are your Top 10 most valuable RP over the last week, courtesy of our super cool and filterable Last 7 Days pitching stats page you should be using all the time, as well as a current look at the Top 15 RP (in both 5×5 standard leagues and 6×6 saves/holds leagues) via our Player Rater. Week four in the Razzball Commenter Leagues and we’re rolling right along now. I’m hoping we’ll have Master Standings available for you later this week, so keep an out HERE for an update. Regardless of whether these standings are updated or not, Merry Band of Schmohawks is no doubt leading the way. Please, blog, may I have some more?
Well, second week in a row my DFS column here at Razzball comes in off a loser. We nailed both starting pitchers again but also put up nearly nada with the bats despite having a fairly large investment in hitters. 1-3 on Double-Ups on the season and onto a new week we go! The Brookeout is upon us! Brent Rooker was so good that even he didn’t think he was capable of a month that good. Maybe the Padres and Giants would be Rooker good if they could play every game in Mexico City. Please, blog, may I have some more?
No, it’s not Bastille Day. I mean, technically it might be, but I wouldn’t know much about it because that would require roughly five percent added effort to open up another tab and Google it. That’s five percent I just can’t spare at my age and energy level. Please, blog, may I have some more?
The calendar flips to May, and April has always provided us with some hot and cold starts from expected and unexpected places. What degenerate gambler had the Pirates doing this well? Let’s dive in to see what’s legit or not from the middle infield:
Thairo Estrada – Giants: One of our preseason sleepers, Thairo’s been better than advertised, with a 19/4/10/.350/.398/8, while qualifying at second base, shortstop, and outfield. Please, blog, may I have some more?
It’s a mixed-up Monday, Razzball DFS’ers! The Bruins are going home and the Leafs are moving on to the second round. If that’s not enough to make your head spin, picking out your pitchers for tonight’s DFS slate surely will. Let’s take a look at tonight’s pitching considerations in light of the DraftKings slate, which locks at 7:05 p.m., Please, blog, may I have some more?
I look more like Manny Machado than that statue! Any hoo! I'm being told this is not Travel & Leisure dot com. Too bad, I had some great tips for Gavin Stone about how to get to Los Angeles. El eff gee! That's right, the Dodgers are calling him up to start on Wednesday. I have Stone stashed since March in multiple leagues; I just gave you a Gavin Stone fantasy two weeks ago. I am absolutely all-in. As Bob Dylan would say, everybody must get Stone. Seriously, don't leave any Gavin Stone unturned. All those Dodgers' babies from last week are going to have Gavin as their birth Stone. Anyway, here's what else I saw this weekend in fantasy baseball:Oh my god I found them whoever they are pic.twitter.com/I9gjYpl82S
