The Major League baseball season is just around the corner, but the fantasy baseball season is in full swing as drafts and auctions are happening every day and twice on Sunday. With the fantasy season now here, so too is the constant search for the hidden gems, those players who will actually be the difference between winning and losing. With that in mind, I present New York Yankees catcher Austin Wells as this week's Up-and-Coming Dynasty Player. Wells started the 2024 season splitting time behind the plate but took over the role as the primary catcher midway through the season. When you look at his stats, you may wonder why I like him. So let's find out why.

Opening Day is finally less than two weeks away, but before we get to our regular season deep league programming, it’s time for a draft recap of my eponymous Laura Holt Challenge RCL. I may be a bit biased, but it’s hard to imagine a more competitive league in the land of fantasy baseball (starting with the fact that it features the last two RCL overall winners, as our league mate Gunk enters the season wearing the 2024 crown). Please, blog, may I have some more?

The other night, 3/11, 3, 3, 11…sorry, 90s/early 2000s PTSD kicked in there for a second. I took part in the 2025 Memorial Magazine League over on CBS with many fine people you know.. We have draft coverage in the AL and NL only leagues from The Itch and Grey, but as the only Razzballer…BALLER, shot caller, 20 inch blades on the… my bad. Please, blog, may I have some more?

Psst! This post is gonna list 2nd basemen that you should target in your 2025 fantasy baseball drafts. I’m whispering because you don’t want everyone to see this post. No, I can’t whisper louder, then it WOULDN’T BE WHISPERING! Okay, gig’s up (or maybe that’s jig’s up), the love I’m about to reiterately (Made Up Word of the Day!) Please, blog, may I have some more?

Nationals OF Robert Hassell III is slashing .400/.447/.600 with a 15.8 percent strikeout rate and 174 wRC+ through 35 spring plate appearances. He’s been playing a lot of center field and might push Jacob Young, who has a 60 wRC+ through 26 PAs, for the opening day gig. Hassell III has been something of a . . . problem since he came over in the Juan Soto trade, just in terms of on-field outcomes, so there’s a vibes component to this decision. Would feel pretty good for everyone in the front office if Hassell III broke camp and played well early.
