As some of the regular readers on Saturday mornings might have noticed, there has been a trend of “don’t panic” or “it’s only April/May” or even “your mom”. I’m here to finally break that trend. Maybe. We are now six scoring (almost!) periods into the books, which means, according to my calculations, means that we have six weeks in the books. That’s about the extent of my math skills, so take that with a grain of salt. If you’ve held firm (for the most part), and oh, (that’s what she said) thus far, you should be commended for it. Streaming situations and the tragedy that is our bullpens don’t necessarily count, as those are always fluid situations. I’m focusing more on the guys like Andrew McCutchen, Billy Hamilton, Chris Sale, Evan Gattis… the types of players who aren’t performing, but you necessarily can’t do much about except pout. And boy have I been pouting. Obviously, you can’t drop them, but you can at least, at this point in the season, realize what you need, what you want, and start strategizing in going after it. If that’s a big trade, taking some chances at other positions that are lacking a bit with free agency, now is the time to start making those plans. Like the plans I have with your mom. (Trend not broken folks!)

Follow me after the jump to take a look back at what was week four AND a look forward on all things Razzball, including some player suggestions for next week, straight from Razzball’s Streamonator, Hitter-Tron, and DFSBot!

This Past Week…

J-FOH had your links to rap music vids on YouTube this past week, along with the much less important Top-100 Hitters Rankings. I mean, who cares about those? JB Gilpin doesn’t! Good for him. He’s the pitcher ranker we need, not the one we deserve.

J-FOH did come back and link us to Netflix for the RCL Update, showing that he’s an equal-opportunity hyperlinker.

The RazzPod recorded on my favorite day of the year (your Mother’s day), where JB Gilpin (and friends!) go over Kris Bryant, Tim Lincecum and Bryce Harper’s homer happy ways.

RotoLance went over some “old and ugly” speedsters, probably giving me the best setup for a your mom joke that I’ve had in years, but sadly over-saturation is not really my style. Haha, yeah right.

Big Magoo focused on Torii Hunter, Kevin Pillar and Steven Souza in his Trash or Treasure piece. and then decided if Avisail Garcia was a Bear or Bull.

Mike, our prospect guru went over Maikel Franco in his Prospect Profile series while Smokey updated on all the bullpen situations going on (hint: it’s a lot) in his Week 6 Report.

Tehol returned with a whole new set of Game of Thrones tie-ins and pictures. Needs more Melisandre if you ask me. (To be fair, everything needs more Melisandre.) If only we could figure out a way to insert Melisandre content into our Points Leagues series, Malamoney’s job would certainly be quite a bit easier. Or harder. (NAILED IT.)

Next Week…

The Streamonator really likes Chase Anderson this upcoming week, as he’s projected to be the 59th highest producer, ahead of Jon Lester and James Shields.

The Hitter-Tron has Kyle Blanks as your 7th highest ranked hitter next week, but 69% owned, it might be easier to go after Travis Snider, who is ranked 18th, ahead of Paul Goldschmidt and just 17% owned.

And be sure to check in everyday for our Daily Fantasy content, led by Sky and company. They’ve been bringing you all the tips and strategy you need to win that cash-monies. Our DFSBot is also there to help guide your way to that aforementioned cash-monies. Mmmm, cash-monies.

Want more of the Jay? Don’t we all folks? Don’t. We. All. Well, you, in fact, can have more. AMAZING. I know. You can find Jay enjoying his dig’s over at the Football side of Razz.
