Happy Monday, Razzball faithful! Let’s get this out of the way first. Somehow, deeply rooted in my psyche, is that Britney Spears song. I did use it last year for a Ji-Hwan Bae post. But for reasons unknown, when I looked at the SP26-50 for this week, one obvious lede stood out.  Then, after the […]

It’s hard to not sound like a prick when discussing starters who I clearly said to avoid who are now injured. I could say something kind like, “Hey, who could’ve seen this coming? Not me, man! Totally out of nowhere! Wow, Shane Bieber needs Tommy John surgery? Crazy! Was he even hurt last year? He was? I had no idea! A 60-day IL stint last year due to his elbow? That is crazy! I am learning that for the first time!”

We are barely over a week into the 2024 fantasy baseball season and if you are anything like me, injuries have ravaged. Between Trevor Story, Luis Robert Jr., and Royce Lewis we are all hurting and starting to plug holes in creative ways. This is the time of the season where a hot start can be nothing more than luck and a poor start could simply from facing Shane Bieber (too soon?). This week, we sift through some of those hot starts and figure out who can simply plug a lineup hole versus a potential breakout where you should be dropping some real FAAB. This is where season’s can certainly be won with an astute pickup or lost by hanging on too long to your drafts dreams. Welcome to hitter profiles for 2024 fantasy baseball!

The opening week always scares me, but we got off to an incredible start with our streamers. James Paxton, Sean Manaea, Javier Assad, Tanner Houck and MJ Melendez all performed beautifully last week, and it has me ready to keep rolling. This is one of the best times to capitalize on the waiver wire, and […]

If it is Saturday, then it is time for another edition of Up-and-Coming Dynasty Players. After two weeks featuring players on the Los Angeles Angels, I’m moving to the Midwest and setting my sights on Will Benson of the Cincinnati Reds.

Benson isn’t a spring chicken. Now 25, he is a former first round draft pick, selected 14th overall out of high school in the 2016 draft by the Cleveland Indians (now Guardians). A left-handed hitter, Benson fits the mold of an outfielder selected in the first round as he has great size and athleticism with massive raw power.

But the road to The Show has not been easy for Benson as he spent parts of seven seasons down on the farm. So why do I think Benson is an up-and-coming dynasty player?

Let’s find out.
