I love a good deal. If I’m going to a Pirates game and pay $20 under face value for tickets, I’m happy. How about a $2,000 TV from Best Buy for $1,200 on sale? That would make me ecstatic. Hell, I just bought Lay’s Potato Chips (best chips ever, by the way) for $1.77 a bag. That’s the family size bag! Talk about a great holiday bargain. On Tuesday night, there is one clear bargain that stands out and it must be exploited. Over his last four starts, Madison Bumgarner’s DraftKings pricing has ranged from $12,800-$14,000. He faces the Rockies–at home–and is priced at $11,700. We all know how this game is played. If the game is at Coors Field, there is extreme risk involved. But, this game is being played in the friendly confines of AT&T Park. MadBum is both a cash and GPP option. Exploit this bargain–hopefully you can use the savings to buy some potato chips.

Carlos Carrasco, SP: $11,500 – Carrasco is coming off a start where he completely stifled the Blue Jays on the road, striking out 14 in 7.1 innings. This matchup at home against Detroit is much more favorable, though it’ll be to his 43.5 point outing from last week.

Gio Gonzalez, SP: $7,700 – Given his price, Gonzalez is a fine arm to pair with MadBum in cash games. Gonzalez went through a rough stretch during the month of June, but pitched a decent game against the Reds last week. He may not be out of the woods yet, but with a matchup against Milwaukee, he is tough to avoid.

Jake Odorizzi, SP: $6,500 – Odorizzi has been relatively consistent this season, with only a handful of bad games. From my vantage point, he is underpriced on Tuesday night, but I’d still only use him in GPPs. The Angels had a big offensive series against the Red Sox over the weekend, but came back to earth on Monday; Tropicana Field will do that to a team.

Russell Martin, C: $3,600 – When it comes to Russell Martin, any flicker of positivity at the plate is worth mentioning. He’s coming off a game over the weekend where he hit a home run and drove in five. Chris Young and Rogers Centre don’t much up too well and Martin provides the opportunity to get exposure without breaking the bank.

Mike Zunino, C: $2,200 – There are no guarantees that Zunino will start, but if he does, he makes for great salary relief against a sketchy left-hander. Make sure he is in the lineup, but if he’s not, Chris Iannetta is a fine pivot for $3,200 as he’s had success in the past against Dallas Keuchel.

Mike Napoli, 1B: $3,600 – Let’s see. Anibal Sanchez is a gas can and he’s starting for the Tigers. Napoli has hit 11 of his 16 home runs at Progessive Field. Take into account the modest pricing and this makes for a solid play.

Travis Shaw, 1B/3B: $3,400 – Don’t look now, but Travis Shaw is starting to heat up again. He’s hit two homers and drove in eight runs over his last five games and faces a mediocre righty at home.

Jason Kipnis, 2B: $5,100 – This pick plays into terrorizing Anibal Sanchez. While Kipnis doesn’t have great numbers against Sanchez during his career (.167 over 30 at-bats), I still expect Cleveland to run up the score here. Kipnis is more of a GPP play if you’re using a Cleveland stack.

Devon Travis, 2B: $4,100 – Right back to picking on Chris Young–I’m so mean. Hopefully Travis hits near the top of the lineup. If he doesn’t, I like this pick less. While many will be on Toronto on Tuesday, Travis could go overlooked.

Maikel Franco, 3B: $4,200 – I’m a big Franco fan. He’s treated me right on more than one occasion. If we were dating, we’d be official by now. Franco’s hit three homers in the last week included two in the last two days.

Danny Valencia, 3B: $3,800 – Danny Valencia, lefty killer. Here’s the thing, Valencia is batting just .172 over the last week, so he could use something to snap out of his funk. Maybe a line in Vegas? Or, a matchup against weak ass left-hander Tommy Milone.

Troy Tulowitzki, SS: $4,400 – Tulo is hot! How many Blue Jays have I recommended so far?

Brad Miller, SS: $3,900 – Miller will be a low owned option on Tuesday and he gets a good matchup against Tim Lincecum at home. In three at-bats against Lincecum, Miller has a home run.

Ian Desmond, OF: $5,000 – I need a spot in this article where I could say, “screw you David Price.” So here it goes: SCREW YOU DAVID PRICE. Get it together already. Anyway, not only can I not stand Price at this point in time, but Desmond is 3-for-5 with a dinger in an extremely small BvP sample size.

Yasmany Tomas, OF: $4,700 – Exposure to the Diamondbacks is key on Tuesday night and using Tomas against lefties is textbook. He has punished southpaws this season, posting a .324 average with six home runs in 74 at-bats.

Yoenis Cespedes, OF: $4,200 – It’s baffling that a guy batting .380 against LHP is priced at just $4,200. I know, I know, Cespedes’ power is skewed heavily against righties, but this is a great spot to use him at a decent price.

Lonnie Chisenhall, OF: $4,100 – What better way to finish my player recommendations than to use a Cleveland Indian. Chisenhall is 10-for-28 (.357) with two home runs over the last seven days. The Indians are going to score a bunch of runs in this game, trust me.

I’m Only Happy When It Rains

There is a chance of thunderstorms in Boston, but they are looking very hit or miss. There is some real danger in Minnesota, though. The forecast is calling for rain most of the evening, so make sure there will actually be a game before you get wild with an Oakland stack.

Doing Lines In Vegas

Natually, MadBum and the Giants are -220 favorites over Colorado. Let’s talk about stacks, though. The obvious options are Toronto and Cleveland. Mid-range choices include Arizona and Washington. Looking for something a bit off the radar? Try the Rays or Rangers.
