It was a bloodbath out there this week, folks. I had teams with ERAs of epic proportions thanks to Bryan Bello, Freddy Peralta, and Hurston Waldrep, who took time off from the front of the Monopoly box to ruin my ratios. Please, blog, may I have some more?
Tonight we are faced with the challenge of sifting through 12 games to determine the best DFS lineup. Looking at the context of the slate, I am noticing only a handful of pitchers who stand out as good plays and nearly all cost top dollar. Please, blog, may I have some more?
On this week’s episode of the Razzball Fantasy Baseball Podcast, Grey and B_Don talk about the recent call ups and what these players might do for your teams. Can Hurston Waldrep and Drew Thorpe help your pitching? What about Adael Amador and Tyler Locklear for your offense? Please, blog, may I have some more?
Is it me or do you hear a 3-something ERA and you’re like, “Damn, he’s struggling!” The way pitching is now, if you’re not rocking a 2.50 ERA or lower, I want to know why and which mafia gangster is paying you to throw games for DraftKings? Please, blog, may I have some more?
Happy Monday, Razzball faithful!
There were many starting pitchers that fantasy managers were “draggin’’” throughout the draft season. (High Fives are optional for that one).
With an ADP of 48, Chris Sale was certainly dragged in early Spring. Shota Imanaga at an ADP of 71? Please, blog, may I have some more?
What's up Razzerinos? The fantasy baseball year has passed the Memorial Day holiday and has entered into the next phase: where you start hearing about fantasy football. Myself, I'm oddly excited about football season. It could be because my RetroBowl team is about to claim the Super Bowl, if only I could manage not to throw interceptions under pressure. It could also be because the Minnesota Vikings just gave Justin Jefferson an amount of money that feels like Gerrit Cole levels of payment. Watch your slider, Jet! ENYWHEY. Let me know if you're also pumped for football draft season down in the comments. For everybody else, let's check the overlooked players that might help your fantasy team:
Howdy again y’all. After a little hiatus due to some life stuff (moving is a pain!), I’m back again and have a bright, sparkly new set of second baseman rankings. Unlike previous articles, as a little treat to you for the time away, I’m going to take time to write a little blurb about each player in the top 10 and give you some reasoning as to why I think they belong there. Please, blog, may I have some more?
Yesterday, the Rockies called up their top prospect, Adael Amador (1-for-3, 1st steal). Listen, I’m not Mr. Prospect. This is well known around these parts. There’s enough players to worry about on MLB rosters, so I go to Itch with my prospect questions. Please, blog, may I have some more?
Some weeks the two start options are full of showcase pieces that immediately catch your eye. Some weeks feel like we’re getting the leftovers and it’s hard to get very excited about what’s on offer. Then there’s this week, which feels like a confusing assorted grab bag of options. Please, blog, may I have some more?
Everybody digs the long ball. This week we are digging deep and looking for hitters that have left some power on the table in the first few months of the season. These are the players who, with one mighty swing, can change the course of a game. Between a myriad of statistics such as xHR, HR/FB%, Hard Hit rate, Barrels and more we are searching for those players that still have more in the tank for 2024. Any rookie can tell you that Aaron Judge has power, but did you know that Marcel Ozuna has been in the top 2% of the league in power metrics and also has the slowest home run trot in the majors. That is incredibly useless information, but now you have it and will not forget. That is the depths to which we are about to go. Without further ado let’s dive in to some powerful hitter profiles.
This is a bizarre week of scheduling. Only a handful of teams are playing seven games this week, with nearly as many playing just five games. That’s frustrating from a fantasy perspective and picking streamers, but we still have some teams with some brilliant matchups. Please, blog, may I have some more?
