Here we go, back again for some more DFS at Razzball. Not too many chances left in what has been a weird, wild, fun season. So let’s get down to business. Not the first name that comes to mind for an outfield option, but don’t forget Kevin Pillar (OF: $3,300) was traded to Coors where everyone can smash. Really any Rockies (or A’s) outfielder is a worthy consideration but let’s focus on the guy who might otherwise get overlooked. The power should go up and he’s chipping some speed. He has a great projection from the bot, making him one of your best bets today.

We’re getting into the stretch run in this sprint of a season. Football is just around the corner but you can still dominate on the diamond. Let’s start with AJ Pollock (OF: $3,000) a guy who I feel has gone a little under the radar. Pollock is putting up a solid season with production across the board. He’s got a good matchup in a park that still favors hitters. At this price, I really like him today.

Wasn’t planning to feature (Alex Dickerson, OF: $3,200) here today but after that offensive explosion (5 for 6 with 3 big boys) I say jump right back in those flames. After all he is still in Coors. Maybe don’t expect a repeat power barrage but he did blast another one a couple nights ago and I think that gets him at bats today even with a lefty on the mound. How exciting that there are actually some Giants hitters worth picking for DFS.

We’ve got some great value plays today based on Rudy’s Robots (Bot 2) so there’s plenty of opportunity to put together a great lineup with some “discount” pieces. The bot’s top pitcher (Dinelson Lamet, SP: $9,300) for not the top price is always a good thing. He’s been blowing people away with some great K numbers (45 in 33 and a third) and has kept the walks in check (11). Lamet is breaking out and unlike most years, the Padres actually seem to know how to hit. Unfortunately they haven’t given him much run support while he’s on the mound, but that’s only a matter of time. He’s set up to dominate for you today.

Welcome back to another edition of DFS advice with Butters. This sprint of a season is in full swing and feels like it will be over all too soon, just as we’re getting a feel for things. So strap in and enjoy the ride.

Shortstop is pretty top heavy today and thins out quickly after that. That leads us to Jonathan Villar (SS: $2,700) if you want to save some cash. Aside from average he’s been posting solid numbers and at this price that’s more than enough. Despite playing what feels like half as many games as the rest of the league he’s flashed his speed from atop the order, he’s tied for the league lead. Even with an ace on the mound, he can still come through for you.

So far the rook (Jake Cronenworth, SS: $2,600) is playing pretty good ball and the Padres actually have a solid offense. His positional versatility (and hot bat) should find him a spot in the lineup. Plus they run quite a bit and he really wouldn’t want to feel left out. Bonus, he’s got a fun name. And yes, I am stealing this title from one of our own. Totally Cronenworth it.

Now here’s a surprise, Donovan Solano (2B: $3,300) is red hot and even though the G-men aren’t the strongest supporting cast he has found a way. The top part of the order can lead to good things no matter who you are or what the rest of the team looks like. The average is sky high and shockingly he’s near the top of the league in delicious RBIs. Mix that all together and we have a supreme sundae. Coors is just the cherry on top. Let Donovan take you to the promised land.

What is up party people? Here we are with real live sports. Welcome to the 60 game sprint which means that fantasy baseball has turned into one long DFS contest. Good thing you’re here at Razzball to get some DFS advice and dominate your contests. We’re down a few players today owing to the recent spike in Covid cases in Miami. We’ve got some big time pitching names on the docket today, but as we’ve seen so far guys are still getting warmed up. My advice is to not overspend on pitching since guys don’t seem to be going deep into games yet. I wouldn’t fault you for taking one of the studs but I think your money is better spent on bats. So buckle up and party on.

Here we are folks, we’ve made it to the last Thursday regular season. It’s been a wild ride but the fun isn’t over yet. As you set your lineups, keep an eye on the starting 9 as teams who are out of it or have already locked up their spot may elect to rest certain fantasy relevant players. So with that in mind, let’s get on to some picks.

First up is a value pick for pitcher, Tyler Beede (SP: $6,900)  The Rox will be in the Bay this week which should suppress the bombs. Beede hasn’t been stellar this season but he is capable of turning in a strong performance here. At least he can help the Giants close out the season on a high note and pick up some momentum for next season. (That’s how it works, right?) That’s totally how it works and the Giants will roll through the league next year. Anyhoo, that’s a wrap folks. Thanks for playing with us and we’ll see you all back here next season.

We’re getting down to the final stretch for the 2019. It’s been a fun ride, but we still have more so buckle up and let’s win some DFS.

What a welcome Mike Yastrzemski (OF: $3,200) got from the hometown Boston crowd in his grandfather’s ballpark. (No matter how many times I write his name, I still can’t spell it correctly on the first try.)  He celebrated his first start in Fenway by catching the first pitch and then blasting one into the seats. I’m excited about his power potential and think he can add to his total. Let’s keep the party going.

Welcome in folks. How is it September already? I know it was September last week (after all I can usually read a calendar) but it didn’t really hit me until this week that baseball is in the closing stretch. We got our first taste of NFL action but those of you here are the true baseball die hards. Either that or you’re just fantasy addicts. Look I’m not here to judge, I’m in three season long baseball leagues and five for football. So I guess that makes me the addict.

Anyhoo…September gives us a chance to see who the real breakouts were and who was a flash in the pan. All of this meandering brings me to Jeff McNeil (OF: $3,200) All season I’ve been just kinda waiting for him to cool off and he really hasn’t. He’s still batting over .320 and has managed to slug 20 homers. Yes I know that 20 homers isn’t as impressive as it used to be but he’s done far more damage in the second half, hitting nearly double his first half total. Translation: 7 in the first half, 13 (and counting post break). Long live the launch angle revolution. He’s rolling so roll with him today.

Surprisingly, we don’t have a super short slate today with 12 games on the docket. However, there is a decided lack of top tier pitching options. Enter Matthew Boyd (SP: $9,700)  He’s been ringing guys up but also struggling with the long ball. That gives him high upside but also makes him risky. The choice is yours. Personally, I’m in because the Ks are too enticing to pass up. The bot also loves him today so there’s that. He projects as the only elite pitching option today which definitely makes him worth a look. I say do it, you know you want to.
