I always marvel at the people who ride rafts on the Colorado River. Yes, there are stretches of peace and tranquility, which allow one to soak in the natural aesthetics, but there are also pockets of chaos and heart-pounding adventure when the water hurtles with a ferocity that guides you to wherever it flows like the bumpers and rails on It’s a Small World at Disneyland. Please, blog, may I have some more?

What is up party people? Baseball lost one of it's greats this week and it may just be that he was the greatest ever. I never got to watch Willie Mays in person but I would give almost anything to be in the stands for his over the shoulder catch or to play stick ball with him in the streets and I don't think I am alone in that dream. There are no words I can write that could even come close to encapsulating the impact he had on the game. Afterall, are there any more complementary words I could pay him than those of the great Ted Williams? "They invented the All-Star game for Willie Mays" It doesn't get much better than that and he would be 1.1 in fantasy drafts. To the man, the myth, the legend, THE Giant, you will be forever missed but 24 lives on.

In our 49th episode, Mike Couillard and Jeremy Brewer open by discussing the latest and greatest transactions and moves including a bevvy of injuries to Mookie Betts, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Michael Harris II and more. Then we analyze players that have been hot in the Razzball Last 30 Days rankings to see what’s fueling their performances. Please, blog, may I have some more?

Graduated From Stash List Volume 3: Ben Rice Is Boiling: Ben Rice, Orelvis Martinez Jackson Holliday is not on this list. One of the few rules I’ve implemented here is that once you’re a big leaguer in the current season, you’re off the list. Holliday cashed those major league game checks, so he won’t be represented here. Neither will Tyler Black even though I’m writing this part on a Friday and thinking about his namesake Rebecca.    1. Nationals OF James Wood | 21 | AAA  Washington is 0.5 games out of the wild card race. Wood returned from his hamstring injury and went 0-for-2 with a walk on Tuesday. Once he’s in rhythm, I think he’s coming up.
