All right here we go with another Monday edition of what pitcher do I think will be slightly low owned but I won't get killed with playing. Not too many great options out there today as I think Gausman looks to be the chalk and best pitcher on today's slate so can't go wrong with him today if you would like but I'm going to stick with my man Kyle Gibson ($9,100). Kyle has really continued his out of nowhere great 1st half of the season and there is nothing to suggest that regression is around the corner. He throws down in the zone with his sinker slider changeup mix and up and in with his fastball and mixes speeds with a curveball every now and again and does it with great command of all pitches. The hitters are off balance the whole time they are in the box and it's just a guessing game as to what pitch he is going to throw and usually they are wrong and whiff or they get a weak hit and no harm is done. Now the Rangers are coming off getting swept by the Blue Jays and the Tigers are coming off a sweep by the Twins so I'm thinking a little turnaround is coming for both teams and this looks like a good spot for it to happen. The Tigers are throwing Casey Mize out there who doesn't miss too many bats and I think the Rangers will be hungry like a wolf to swing those sticks today and get some runs on the board. The Tigers are coming off a high of sweeping the Twins as mentioned previously and I see a let down from them today and Gibson is good enough to keep them frustrated in the box. Gibson's last start before the break was against these Tigers and the Tigers did give Gibson his 1st loss of the season at home but I can't see that happening again as Gibson got himself into a bases loaded jam and the reliever came in and gave up a HR. I'm confident Gibson will make adjustments and get these guys out. I see Gibson going 7 solid innings giving up 6 hits 1 ER and striking out 8 today and getting the win. New to FanDuel? Scared of feeling like a small fish in a big pond? Well, be sure to read our content and subscribe to the DFSBot for your daily baseball plays. Just remember to sign up through us before jumping into the fray. It’s how we know you care!   SP- Kevin Gausman ($10,600) Like I said up top, Gausman is a good play today as well. The Dodger lineup has seen some heavy hitters get dinged up lately and Betts and Lux could also be out of the lineup today so check out the lineup before finalizing your team but could be a relatively thin lineup and Gausman is more than capable of getting the Dodger reserves out. Will be heavily owned though so get different with your hitters if you play Gausman. C/1B- Jesus Aguilar ($3,000) Against a TBA pitcher today (maybe Lester?) in Washington. This doesn't bode well for Mr. Lester.  Gimme Aguilar and his .489 SLG and .825 OPS anyday against Lester or bullpen arm. 2B- Jeff McNeil ($2,600) 7 game hitting streak and is a high contact hitter against a sub par pitcher in Gutierrez who pitches to contact. I'm going out on a limb here that McNeil hits the ball hard all 4 times at bat today with at least 3 balls that don't find gloves. SS- Bo Bichette ($3,600) His 8 game hitting streak got snapped yesterday and you would have to go all the way back to the month of May before you found two days in a row where he did not have a hit in a game. Pretty good chance here he has a multi-hit game against Nick Pivetta who he has seen plenty of lately including a June 12th game where Bo hit a 468 foot missile in center for a HR. Wouldn't be surprised one bit if it happened again. 3B- J.D. Davis ($2,800) J.D. is back and blasted 2 HR's on Saturday and no hits on Sunday so hopefully he won't be as fresh in people's minds when they scroll through the 3B options. I think another good spot for a Mets player against Gutierrez today and J.D. could easily pop one out today. OF- Jesse Winker ($3,300) I know I know he has been terrible lately but come on this guy was raking just a couple of weeks ago and all hitters go through slumps. Jerad Eickhoff seems like a guy who could remedy the sort of aliment that Winker has been dealing with lately. There will be plenty of DFS players who won't want to take that chance so there's your advantage you need right there. OF- Cedric Mullins ($3,700) Not scared off by a lefty on lefty matchup here. Yarbrough doesn't pitch deep into ballgames and Mullins holds his own vs lefties as well. I'm sure the RIays have plenty of righty options that will find there way into this game and Mullins will be perfectly ok with taking one of these guys deep today. Just got a 8 game hitting streak snapped yesterday so he will be hungry to start another streak today. OF- Joey Gallo ( $3,900 ) It's been a whole three games without a HR from Gallo. I'm betting there won't be a 4th against Mize and the Tigers here. UTIL- Jonathan India ($2,700) Will get plenty of at bats today in a high scoring contest and will gets lots of looks against Eickhoff and the Mets bullpen. Hitting the ball well and no reason to think he lets off the gas now. Lots of counting stats with India and will give you plenty of opportunity to put up a good number of points today.   I'm Only Happy When It Rains San Diego Padres vs. Atlanta Braves Very good chance weather could be a factor here due to rain lingering most of the day so make sure you check back to see the latest news.   Doing Lines In Vegas Got two for you: Reds ML -110 against the Mets Orioles TT over 3 -120

Or we gently guide you to our fantasy football advice. I'm wearing Isotoners while typing this, one love Dan Marino! Damn, I love that guy. Is he still playing? Okay, enough nonsense. During my medical procedure last Tuesday, the anesthesiologist said to me he thought dogs were angels on earth, and, as I drifted off, I said to him, "I hope you're not Dr. Death." Well, that anesthesiologist had Angels on his mind for some reason beyond my understanding, and so do I because the Angels are making money moves, calling up their top prospect, Brandon Marsh (0-for-4). Here's what Prospect Itch said, "A pre-swing bat wrap saps a bit of Marsh’s reaction time and contact ability. Aside from that hitch—not a load in his case as his hands aren’t in the hitting position synced up with his hips when it ends—Marsh is a great baseball prospect. A potentially elite defender with plus power and speed, he’ll get every opportunity to learn on the job at the highest level. He should be fine as long as he's not as dumb as Grey." What the heck! Maddon says he will be playing Marsh in center, so I grabbed Marsh in one 15-team mixed league, and my RCL, but I could see dropping him in the 12-team mixer by this time tomorrow. Or as Brandon Marsh says, "Don't harsh the Marsh." Anyway, here's what else I saw this weekend in fantasy baseball:
Welcome back to the second half of the season sports fans. We've got a couple of interesting weeks ahead of us. Recently we have had a few COVID outbreaks over the course of the last week which is slightly concerning but hopefully we move past this without issue. However, there are exciting revelations on the horizon, those being, we will find out who fancies themselves buyers or sellers leading up to the trade deadline. Moving onto the news, we have some injuries and some returns from the IL. We'll start with Ian Anderson hitting the IL with a shoulder injury. John Means is set to start Tuesday. Jake Arrieta hit the IL with a hamstring injury. Jose Urena hit the IL with a groin injury. Clayton Kershaw is on the IL with a forearm strain. Pablo Lopez hit the IL with a shoulder strain. Jacob deGrom has hit the IL with a forearm strain. Aaron Nola went on the COVID list but will start Tuesday. That's the major injuries and returns this week and it's time to get back to a full week of baseball so let's go get it!
The second half of the season is upon us boys and girls. And since the second half of baseball is basically a new season I spent the All-Star Break rebuilding my methodology for these ranks. I kept the core data but decided to change how I look at it a bit now that we have had nearly three and a half months of 2021 baseball data to draw from, which is now MORE than all of the 2020 season and its tomfoolery. So we turn a page and begin anew. Unfortunately, we will be beginning anew without Ronald Acuna Jr., RIP. It will be interesting on draft day next season as for 2 seasons back-to-back now, Mr. 1.01 has dealt with an injury missing a good chunk of time. I think I still see him as the big Mac Tildaddy, but there's some blemish on his armor now that wasn't there before. Hopefully, this is just a blip on the radar. As the sun sets on one of our heroes, it rises for another. Who could that be? None other than...
The All-Star break is thankfully over, allowing us to get back to watching baseball games every night. Watching the All-Star game no longer is the exciting matchup it used to be, especially with so many players opting out now. The Home Run Derby was great entertainment, but it isn't a baseball game. Thankfully the games are back this weekend, which means we get to watch Fernando Tatis Jr. do his thing with a smile and a lot of flash. We get to watch two outstanding players up the middle for the Toronto Blue Jays in Marcus Semien and Bo Bichette. It's not a bad problem to have when you have two of the best three players at a position group, though that won't be the case next season when Semien is only going to be classified as a second baseman. With the second half of the season officially here, let's see who is ranked where in the Top 25 Fantasy Shortstops.
We provided you with some weekend streamers and things got off to a nice start with Vince Velasquez pitching a gem on Saturday. What's annoying about this week is the fact that these managers are being coy about their rotations. There are a ton of N/A's out there in projected rotations and it makes things tougher on us. In any case, we have a pretty good idea of who should start and it's actually a great week for streaming. With that in mind, let's kick things off with our two-start streamers
Happy Sunday degens.  Yesterday was a bonkers day in baseball and we’ll be working through the aftermath of some of that today.  What a scary scene outside of Nationals Park.  Hug your loved ones people.  Once you’ve hugged it out, settle in with some brunch, and let’s build some lineups to win us some cash.  Our main building block today will be Zack Wheeler ($11,000).  Expensive?  Absolutely, but he’s also been completely studly this year and he’s got a primo match-up.  I’m not touching Scherzer vs the Padres (more on that later) or Rodon vs the red-hot Astros.  The Marlins are bottom five in team OPS and Wheeler is at home.  Toss in the fact that the Marlins strike out the fourth most of any team in baseball and we have ourselves a winner.  Stack Zack in cash games and use him as your main building block in GPPs for some easy cash. New to FanDuel? Scared of feeling like a small fish in a big pond? Well, be sure to read our content and subscribe to the DFSBot for your daily baseball plays. Just remember to sign up through us before jumping into the fray. It’s how we know you care!
I’m putting the finishing sheen on a Top 100 update for next Sunday, so if you’ve got any thoughts related to that, please slide on into the comment section.  In the meantime, I feel like we should blast some Spacehog and catch-up on the happenings where grass is green and skies are blue. New York Yankees SS Hoy Jun Park had nothing left to prove at AAA, slashing .325/.475/.541 across 44 games at the level. His BB/K rate checked in at 46/41 over that stretch. Also hit nine home runs and stole nine bags. Safe to say he can identify some spin, and at 6’1” 175 lbs (though I think he’s a bit bigger than that), Park brings real upside to a club in crisis. He’s 25 and he’s never produced like this before, but he did post a 68/69 BB/K rate with a .387 OBP in 2018 at High A, so the plate skills and vision feel real to me.
There is a new leader atop our Top 100 Hitters for the rest of the fantasy baseball season as we head into the second half of the season.  Unfortunately, the movement is driven by an injury to Ronald Acuna.  It is a big loss for fantasy owners and fans of the game alike.  However, with the second half of the season we also get an opportunity to see the young crop coming up from the minors in Jarred Kelenic and Jarren Duran.  Both have immense potential and I remain bullish, specifically on Mr. Kelenic.  Let us see how they stack up for the top 100 hitters and where the buys and sells profile for the second half.
The All-Star game has come and gone, which means the 2nd half is upon us.  During the beginning of this 2nd half, now is a good time to go back and look at anticipated return times for some of the players that have been on the IL since the start of the season.  While the majority have been stored away in the designated IL spots, there are always a few stragglers available for the picking.  Since this is a weekly H2H article, I don't want to speculate on weeks in the future.  Let me just take this time to give a couple extra pointers to help you gain an edge on your competition.  Hell, the majority of your competition is digging into fantasy football.  Keep grinding Razzball family...Keep Grinding!
What a great All-Star break we just had! The Home Run Derby was an absolute spectacle, and it was nice to take a little break from baseball. With that said, it felt like a year, and I'm ready to get back into it and ride some streamers in the second half. This is one of the strangest weeks to talk about, though. We have every team playing this weekend, so we're going to focus on those games and give you the normal Ride the Wave article come Sunday. That means this article will be a bit abbreviated but starting this first week off with a bang is a great way to kick off the second half. There's also a ton of question marks with these rotations, so all of these guys aren't necessarily guaranteed the starts we have them projected for. With that in mind, let's talk about the streamers we like for this weekend!
