Let’s get the second half of the season underway. There’s only one game today so the format is a little different. For a single game we get a 5 man roster: MVP (2x points), Star (1.5x points) and 3 utility players. So lets have some fun with it and win some money. Read on for my roster today and best of luck to ya.

Giancarlo Stanton, MVP: $7,500 – Take full advantage of that double point bonus by locking up the day’s top hitter. He sits at just 15 bombs after the first half, but we all know the type of massive power upside he brings to the table. One swing of the bat is all you need.

J.D. Martinez, STAR: $8,000 – Keep the power flowing and grab Just Dong to be your star. He’s more than capable of a monster game and with the 1.5 multiplier that’s music to my ears.

DJ LeMahieu, UTIL: $7000 – At this price, he should provide good value for your roster. His July numbers have looked good and he’s starting to mix in some bigger point totals. The bot is in on him today and you should be too.

Hunter Renfroe, UTIL: $6,000 – The home run total doesn’t blow you away but the rest of his first half numbers have been quite impressive. You may be noticing a theme here, but Renfroe swings a big bat and can put up points in a hurry.

Luke Voit, UTIL: $6500 – Like most of the Yankees, his season numbers are on the ugly side. However, he started to show signs of life going into the break and will look to build on that momentum today. He’s a good target to take a chance on as you round out your roster.

I’m Only Happy When It Rains

No weather concerns on the horizon, just some clouds and humidity which feels like par for the course this time of year in New York.

Doing Lines In Vegas

With an over of 8.5, Vegas doesn’t see a ton of fireworks in the cards today, but it doesn’t shape up to be a pitcher’s duel either. Fanduel is more optimistic that we’ll see some offense with the line at 9.5. That’s the type of action I’m here for.
