I put a poster of David DeJesus up on my bedroom wall. Cougs said to me, “Grey, why do we have a picture of David DeJesus on our bedroom wall?” She was right. It was silly to put DeJesus up on my wall. So I cut out his face, cut out his lips, cut out his eyes and taped it around her face with masking tape, so she could see and talk to me through DeJesus. Then I asked my religious poster-ography if it could please leave my sweet, sweet upside pitchers alone.  DeJesus said back to me, “Yes, can you please untape this thing from my head now?” DeJesus spoke to me! Too bad I didn’t do this prior to Yordano Ventura going out and getting rocked (2 2/3 IP, 5 ER) and then complaining after the game of elbow discomfort. Dah! As we know by now, no pitchers get away with elbow discomfort without a DL stint. The MRI will either lead him to a 15-day DL stint or a 12-18 month one. Lowercase yay. Anyway, here’s what else I saw yesterday in fantasy baseball:
Lorenzo Cain – 4-for-4 and his 6th steal. Cain…Sugar! Get higher, baby! Get higher, baby! Get higher, baby! And don’t ever come down!
George Springer – 4-for-4, 5 runs, 3 RBIs and his 8th homer. A lot of good has come of Springer’s emergence for the Astros, but the one drawback is now Barbara Bush needs to learn all this new shorthand when keeping score at Astro games like a double, an RBI and a homer.
Aaron Hicks – 2-for-4. Said he’s done switch-hitting. GLAAD could not be reached for comment.
Trevor Plouffe – 1-for-4 and his 4th homer. Plouffe goes the dynamite! On the fo’really, he hasn’t done a whole lot, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets hot at some point. Maybe that point is now. Yes, I’m kinda saying that because Arenado left a giant hole at my corner infidel spot, and I need something.
Elvis Andrus – 3-for-5, 1 run, 2 RBIs and his 13th steal. He’s seven for his last sixteen with two steals, 3 RBIs and five runs as he’s been back in the two-hole since this weekend. Hmm… Been a whole lot easier since the Prince left town! Been a whole lot happier without that face around! I hope them Hostess cupcakes are gonna make you cough! Hope you read this blurb and it pissed you off! Yes, that was a Spin Doctors mash-up.
Nick Tepesch – 6 2/3 IP, 2 ER, 7 baserunners, 4 Ks. Hmm, maybe I should temper the Tepesch/Passover jokes and actually look at him for fantasy. Eh, no shanks!
Jose Abreu – Took grounders, played catch and hit off a tee. Though, he wasn’t able to win a giant plush SpongeBob.
Scott Downs – 1 1/3 IP, 0 ER and his first save. This wasn’t a stereotypical save because he came into the 8th inning in a save situation but it was a four run lead, and it remained that way into the ninth. That’s not to say Belisario is safe, after all his nickname is Very-sorry-yo, but I’d continue to hold Belisario and Webb, in that order.
Conor Gillaspie – 4-for-4, 2 runs, 1 RBI, hitting around .350 in the last week, and — God, this is sad to say — I actually filled in for Arenado with Gillaspie in one league. *goes to shake fist at sky, doesn’t feel like going outside, shakes fist at picture of Razzball contributor, Sky*
Dayan Viciedo – 2-for-4, 2 runs, 3 RBIs and his 5th homer. Exactly a week ago I said, “Rather than a hot schmotato, I’m beginning to think now we can set our clock to Viciedo homering again in a week, assuming we have a clock that has a day hand and a homer hand.” Prescient ain’t just a word you need Dictionary.com to define!
Jose Quintana – 6 IP, 2 ER, 7 baserunners, 5 Ks. He’s a streamer and yesterday he was against Cleveland, so hehe. He does have a nice next matchup, per the Stream-o-Nator.
Carlos Santana – Missed yesterday because he could be dealing with a concussion. He should’ve never been catching, or messing with that black magic woman.
Michael Brantley – 2-for-3, 1 run, 1 RBI and his 8th steal. All he does is fill up the stat line! Which better be enough for you. You greedy, yo!
Mark Teixeira – Scratched due to a stiff wrist. WebMD says it’s Legionnaires’ disease, but it’s prolly a day-to-day wrist thing.
Carlos Beltran – Took dry swings and said, “I feel good,” then did a James Brown split and felt less good.
Michael Wacha – 7 IP, 3 ER, 6 baserunners, 2 Ks, ERA is at 2.67. His peripherals are as pretty as you thought they would be (9+ K/9, 2.5 BB/9, 3.17 xFIP) back in March. Can we teleconference Danny Salazar, Gerrit Cole and Tony Cingrani into this blurb?
Giancarlo Stanton – 3-for-4, 2 runs, 2 RBIs and his 15th homer. 21 to go!
Casey McGehee – 2-for-4, 1 RBI, hitting .286 on the year and 7th best RBI total in NL with 31. With the success of McGehee, more players might go to Japan to jump start their careers. From very-cacki to teriyaki to teri-riffic!
Nate Eovaldi – 6 1/3 IP, 2 ER, 4 baserunners, 5 Ks. Florida’s Captain EO providing you with real-life thrills without the depressing memories of vitiligo and a sham marriage to Priscilla Presley.
Ryan Zimmerman – Progressing to swinging and throwing. That’s good, since, ya know, he is a baseball player. Bravo, Zimmerman. If only ‘bravo’ had the same effect on you as Bert Cooper.
Adam LaRoche – 1-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 6th homer in his 2nd game back. That didn’t take long. Definitely would own if you were struggling with the loss of Fielder or Arenado or Votto or you name ’em.
Tanner Roark – 7 IP, 3 ER, 6 baserunners, 4 Ks. George Hamilton and Ricardo Montalban’s love child has a 3.47 ERA, but pretty lousy Ks and xFIP, making him more of a streamer, and the Stream-o-Nator doesn’t love his next start.
Cliff Lee – Not ready to throw yet, and there’s no timetable for his return from his sore arm, i.e., The Adverb’s got dangling claws.
Kyle Kendrick – 6 2/3 IP, 0 ER, 10 baserunners (4 BBs), 2 Ks. With four walks to two Ks, he shows why he’s about as appealing as what his last name sounds like, an anatomically correct Ken doll.
Ryan Howard – 3-for-4, 2 runs, 5 RBIs and his 8th homer. Howard tore through the ball yesterday after hearing Walt Weiss repeatedly move his center fielder back. That one is for you Rosa Parks.
Chase Utley – 3-for-4, 3 runs, 1 RBI. Phillies should take a DeLorean to every game.
Ben Revere – 3-for-5, 1 RBI. Hasn’t stolen much recently, but he is hitting .400 in the last week, and the steals could come in bunches. Hot schmotato!
Brandon McCarthy – 6 2/3 IP, 5 ER, 9 baserunners, 4 Ks vs. Tyson Ross (5 IP, 4 ER, 9 baserunners, 4 Ks). In a battle that was billed as “low scoring” and ended “”Ugh, why wasn’t this low scoring?”
Yonder Alonso – 2-for-4 and his 2nd homer in the last 4 games. In good conscience, I can’t tell anyone outside of NL-Only leagues that he’s worth picking up. Or in good conscious, I think they both work.
Everth Cabrera – 2-for-4, 4 RBIs and a slam & legs. EverCab making owners sing that late 90’s song, “Middle Infielder of Mine.”
A.J. Pollock – 3-for-5, 2 runs, 2 RBIs and his 6th homer. Damn, I dropped him early in the day yesterday. Oh, well, bombs voyage!
Drew Smyly – 5 IP, 6 ER, ERA up to 3.86. Where’s the emoticon for a middle finger?
Josh Donaldson – 3-for-5, 2 RBIs and his 12th homer, and Brandon Moss 1-for-4 also hit his 12th homer.  Anagrammed out Donaldson and Moss are the Dos Almond Sons. Not quite as catchy as the Bash Brothers, but sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you feel like two.
Kyle Blanks – 2-for-3, 3 runs and his 1st homer. Not much here to see yet in mixed leagues, but for AL-Only he has power and in those leagues you’re just filling in the Blanks.
Derek Norris – 1-for-5, 4 RBIs and his 5th homer, as he hits .316. Has cooled off dramatically since April when he hit .386, but at least he’s been better than Ricky Gervais’s show, Derek. What a mess that is.
Tommy Milone – 6 2/3 IP, 0 ER, 6 baserunners, 6 Ks. His home ERA is below 1.35, his road ERA is 5.80. In other words, he’s a homeschooling MediOAKer.
Erik Bedard – 4 IP, 7 ER. Memorial Day in Toronto was not kind to Bedard. Or as Canadians called it, Monday.
Desmond Jennings – 2-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 5th homer, that’s to go along with his 11 steals. He’s on pace for around a 15/30 season, though he is batting in the .240’s. That’s shabby chic.
David DeJesus – 2-for-4 and his 5th homer. I wonder if that was really him or Cougs wearing my poster face.
Edwin Encarnacion – 3-for-5, 2 runs and his 15th homer. Can someone check to make sure the fences in Rogers Centre are meters and not centimeters?
Melky Cabrera – 3-for-3, 1 run, 3 RBIs, hitting .322, and, more remarkably, is the best hitting M. Cabrera.
A.J. Ellis – Hit the DL after hurting his ankle in Beckett’s no-hitter celebration. The reminds me of the time I won the New Jersey state Connect Four championship and my buddy Pickles started hyperventilating without his inhaler. He was fine, but it sorta bummed out my celebration.
Hanley Ramirez – Missed Monday and seems headed to the DL, but this season it feels like I could say that about any player and I have an 80% chance of being right.
Matt Kemp – Sat out his 4th straight day. Mattingly built a dog house for Puig, but since he’s hitting, he just hates to see it go to waste.
Hyun-Jin Ryu – 7 1/3 IP, 3 ER, 3 baserunners, 7 Ks. He had a perfect game going into the 8th inning, which had Elias Sports Bureau scrambling for the last back-to-back no-hitter for a team, which was the Cleveland Spiders vs. the Hoboken Arachnophobes, but that was an unfair matchup obviously.
Ervin Santana – 5 IP, 6 ER, ERA up to 4.06. Where’s the magic, Ervin?! He hasn’t pitched a whole lot worse than two weeks ago when his ERA was 2.76. If you can get him on the cheap, this could be a solid buying opportunity. Or po’tunity, if you’re in a rush.
Chris Johnson – 2-for-5, a day after a two-hit game and a homer. Wouldn’t expect much from him in the power department, but he could hit for a lot higher average than his current .268. Plus, if you scream his name real fast, it will make you should like an old man in a urinal who can’t urinate.
Clay Buchholz – 3 IP, 6 ER. Red Sox said he could get bumped from the rotation. Since he has a 7.02 ERA, I say what the hell is taking so long? Rubby de la Rosa could replace him in the rotation, which also would make him the player with the most porn star-sounding name in the majors.
David Ortiz – 1-for-3, 4 RBIs and his 12th homer. Big Papi has been outspoken with the media about how he doesn’t like how he has no protection in the lineup. Um, Jackie Bradley Jr. walked three times in one game and Grady Sizemore has taken some of the sexiest selfies. Papi’s way off here.
Brock Holt – 2-for-5, 2 runs and hitting near-.400 in the last week. I actually picked him up to fill in for Arenado in one league. I will now laugh hysterically on the 405 until I am committed.
Noah Syndergaard – Hit the Triple-A DL with an injury to his elbow. They should just throw a shirt on Mr. Met that reads, “We can’t have anything nice.”
Jacob deGrom – 6 2/3 IP, 0 ER, 10 baserunners (5 BBs), 4 Ks vs. Brandon Cumpton (6 IP, 1 ER, 8 baserunners, 1 K). This was a rematch of deGrom vs. Cumpton that saw Cumpton win the first time. Not a major league game rematch, that matchup was of British flavorless shortbread cookies. As anyone that has followed this in the British tabloids, The Queen Mum likes deGrom, but Cumpton sounds like Compton and is loved in Brixton. F0r fantasy, I wouldn’t touch either outside of NL-Only leagues.
Jose Valverde – 2/3 IP, 4 ER and released by the Mets after the game. Not sure what they were expecting from a guy nicknamed Poopie Grande. A small poopie? That would just be unfair to him and the verisimilitude of his nickname.
Dave Hudgens – Mets also fired their hitting coach because they can’t fire the guy that built Metco and Sandy Alderson won’t fire himself.
Lucas Duda – 2-for-4 and his 6th homer. What a Duda day!
Gaby Sanchez – 2-for-2, 2 rund, 2 RBIs and his 5th homer as he replaced Ike Davis mid-game. Too bad, the Mets fans were enjoying seeing Ike do squat and step in the bucket for another team.
Mark Melancon – 1 IP, 1 ER and the save as Jason Grilli worked, um, Friday.  How is the Pirates coaching staff tying their shoes while wearing those kid gloves? Obviously, I’d continue to hold Melancon, until Grilli goes on back-to-back days.
Josh Hamilton – Diagnosed with a bone bruise on his surgically-repaired thumb and hopes to take batting practice on Wednesday. I have a feeling that this is going to be an ongoing issue for him all year. Call it mustache intuition.
Tyler Skaggs – 7 IP, 2 ER, 9 baserunners, 8 Ks. You never know what you’re gonna get out of Skaggs — a 7 IP, 2 ER game or a 7 IP, 5 ER game — and yesterday you got both if you count his three unearned runs.
Robinson Cano – 3-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 4th steal, hitting .332 on the year with two homers. Did he switch bodies with Fred Savage?
James Jones – 1-for-4, 2 runs and his 4th steal. Has a hit in nine of his last ten games with three steals over that time. SAGNOF Mike just went over his James Jones fantasy. I concur. Or concurr, if Mystikal is reading.
Jeff Samardzija – 7 IP, 3 ER, 6 baserunners (0 BBs), 10 Ks. Nice step in the right direction from what Alphabet Soup was doing that made me list him as a Sell last week, but his Ks are still low and his ERA (1.68) is still absurd for the pitcher that he is, so regression will still be his.
Nate Schierholtz – 2-for-4, 2 runs and his 1st homer. I’ve had an iCal reminder set for me since the end of April to pick up Schierholtz as soon as he hit his first homer. So yesterday I was like, “Siri, pick up Schierholtz.” And she was like, “There are three stores in your area that sell sheer pantyhose.”
Pablo Sandoval – 2-for-4, 3 RBIs and his 7th homer. Since I told you to Buy him, he has a .364 average with 5 homers in 33 ABs. Looks like Sandstraightline can hit as well as Sandoval.
Jim Henderson – Had a setback with his shoulder. K-Rod will continue to handle save opportunities and any teammates’ beef with their stepfathers, even though K-Rod hasn’t looked nearly as good recently (since I traded him to Tehol), giving up two earned runs and blowing his 2nd save yesterday.
Khris Davis – 4-for-4, 2 runs and his 7th homer, and his third homer in the last week and hitting over .300 in that time. And that’s all I needed to see. I’ve now picked him up in all leagues where he was available. Hopefully he channels his namelganger and goes on a tear.
Jonathon Schoop – 3-for-5 and two solo homers (4, 5). He’s still only hitting .228 and has been sporadic with fantasy value. I’m kinda hoping he stays sporadic so I can highlight him next year for a sleeper. Josh Rutledge and Brad Miller who?! Middle infielders that you were crazy about the last two years that failed miserably. I was being facetious, Random Italicized Voice. I never watched that Keri Russell show. Facetious, not Felicity!
J.J. Hardy – 3-for-5, 1 run, hitting .304 with zero homers on the year. I got a Hardy mystery. When did he become Yunel Escobar?
Chris Tillman – 5 2/3 IP, 6 ER. Hey, it didn’t work out, but if you’re holding onto him, you’re doing damage to your team for no reason. His upside isn’t that great that you can’t find someone similar off of waivers.
Chris Davis – Missed the last two days to see the birth of his baby girl, Marykakis. That’s the last time Davis makes any bets with teammates too.
Better stash Gio Gonzalez or Taijuan Walker?
Drop Yelich or Austin Jackson for Khris Davis?
someone offered me Cobb for springer at first I poo-pooed it but what says you?
Sounds fair if you need pitching
Pick 2 ROS.. Pomeranz eovaldi mchugh
Thanks in advance !
Eovaldi, McHugh

Can i get a double-play for Britton up in here?
@SteveNZ: Grrrrrrrrrr. Tying run scores on an infield hit? C’mon.
Grrrr, indeed
I can’t believe revere just hit a home run. I actually asked mike a question earlier today about when he thought revere would hit one in his major league career.
It was today apparently!
HA
@Grey: weekly roto redraft. trying to replace arenado (currently starting xander). would you drop calhoun for francisco or stick with xander?
@herschel:
I can only say thank goodness I picked up Francisco to replace Harper and was able to slide him to third when arenado went down. I don’t know if it will last, but Francisco is carrying my power numbers.
Francisco
Hey grey, I’m in a 10 team h2h points, redraft league, also it’s a weekly roster lock league which means if someone by the name of let’s call him Carlos Santana goes on the 7 day DL I’m stuck lol lol.
Ieven if I were to add a catcher I can’t use him til next week when rosters unlock grr!
That being said , Santana will prob come off DL next tues or wed, would you just keep him there & hope he comes back no later than wed & doesn’t struggle/ have days off or drop him or someone off my bench for a new catcher.
I know Santana has power, but he hasn’t looked good this season, I’d rather drop someone else on my team instead of Santana- but when do I throw in the towel on Santana .
Out of the options available here are the top three Devin mecarasco, sal Perez & Miguel montero. Salty & Ruiz are also available.
Looking at next week it’s as follows:
Mecarasco has the giants in cincy, phillies in cincy.
Perez has cardinals in STL, cardinals in KC, Yankees in KC.
Montero has Rockies in Colorado, and braves in Arizona .
Salty has rays in Miami, rays in TB, has cubs in Chicago.
Ruiz has mets in Philly, nationals in DC & reds in cincy.
Thanks again. This is my bench; Hosmer, votto, polanco & Harper on DL
Grab Perez
@Grey:
Thanks grey- would you add Perez by
Dropping Santana, or by dropping someone off my bench?
Santana
My nightly fix my 2nd base question……..Every time I watch the cubs Valbuena is getting hits and now he’s batting 5th. Is he worth owning long term?
HE
Eh
GA
They are putting Mejia in for the 8th. No me gusta.
Oh jeez
@Grey: AND [Carlos] Gonzalez left Tuesday’s game with a right calf contusion….The oft injured Cargo….is he now 2.0?
I know, right
@Grey: weekly roto redraft, in need of HR/RBI. how do you rank these guys – k davis, o arcia, cain, d murphy.
thanks.
Davis, Davis, Davis, Cain

lincecum
harang
mcgugh
betances
Lincecum
Khris Davis or Junior Lake ?
Drop Porcello, Bauer, Archer, Ventura, Eovaldi, Betances first in my 10 team 5×5?
@Rondelio:
For Melancon or McHugh?
Melancon
Davis… Betances
I hope the Chicago/Cleveland start is rained out. There is nothing more annoying than having your best pitcher get a start cut off after 3 innings because of rain, in a starts-capped league.
I hear ya
@Grey: with recent news of paxton experiencing additional tightness, is he droppable in redraft leagues if i dont have room for him on the dl? thoughts on how long he will be out?
Yup
Drop Wieters for Gomes in a 5×5 non-keeper with OBP instead of AVG?
Yup
SO(cob)B, I should have listened to SON. Hopefully starting Gray won’t a boo-boo as well…
Yeah
Who you like
Wright, Bautista, Cruz, Price
or
Donaldson, Puig, and Bumgarner?
Puig
@Grey: When does Cruz stop hitting bombs though?
@Carter: Or would you rather trade away wright, kemp, cruz, price and shields
for
McCutchen, Waino, Machado
Not especially…
At 27
@Grey: Thanks for the help my man. Wanna come party in NOLA for my friends bachelor party this weekend, we are considering it a bachelor party/winter meetings and I could use my residential expert.
Let’s do it! Beignets and bitches!
ROS Mejia, Doolittle, or F. Rodney?
Also, worth using #1 waiver claim on Yordano now that he’s expected to miss just 1 start? 12 team league that counts quality starts.
Great read as always!
Rodney… Sure, grab Yordano
@Grey:
Sorry, forgot to include one. Pick 2 between Frieri, Rodney, Doolittle, and Mejia?
Thanks!
Frieri, Rodney
you would not trade bruce for cobb would you?
Nope
I fear that, at this point, Edwin Encarnacion is after the children of the World. Nothing else can explain such violent treatment of a ball. Kids – stay away.
Ha
Second day of the H2H week and my opponent and I have combined for 8 HRs, 26 Runs and 27 RBI for the week so far…
Jeez, share the wealth, I don’t think I’ve had that in one full week…
Verlander stay away or buy low?
Stay away, but everyone is buyable for right price
Wow-RainAgeddon.8 of 10 guys PPD or in a delay in one league.
I’m getting DT’s.
WTF do people in Scandanavia do when there is never any baseball?
HA
@Hondo: Curling
Gray
Can you rank Calhoun Cain Wong it is for my utility position
Thanks
Cain, Calhoun
Gray
Do you think Calhoun is going to be regularly sitting vs lefties?
Prolly at first
Who do you like best of this group
Garcia @SF, vKC, @TOR, vWAS
McCarthy vCIN, vATL, @HOU, vMIL
McCarthy
Tale of two line ups
Tampa 3-5 tonight: Forsythe, Jennings, S. Rodriguez
Toronto: Bautista, Lind, Encarnacion
@OaktownSteve:
Aaron Harang pitches in some horrible luck. Pastornicky ole’s a grounder up the middle ruled a hit. Chris Johnson clanks a potential DP ball and records no outs. Fertilizer.
I got Pastornicky in one league, so I was cheering it…
Oops, meant Brock Holt obviously
@OaktownSteve: i would say harang’s likely over this season one of the luckiest people.
Has it been raining continuously for 2 months in Philly/Wash/Balt? Jeez Louise.
Can’t believe I can’t switch out Span, so frustrating…
Hanley was a late scratch INTO the Dodgers lineup today. Happy I played him this week.
Kemp is sitting for fifth day. This is getting ridiculous. Kemp has been pretty hot recently and sports a .343 wOBA overall. That’s top 60 in the league. His wRC is top 50. By advanced metrics he was clearly reestablishing himself as an elite hitter.
And you don’t play him? Word is out today that the Sox are looking to trade for a CF. Kemp’s value is apparently destroyed now, but are the Dodgers showcasing Ethier? Or is this all Donnie drama behind the scenes?
Yeah, bonkers that Kemp doesn’t play… He’ll be off the team by July 31st
@Grey: Also, his average FB/HR distance is 299 feet, which is top 30. Watching the Dodger games, you could see how close he was to breaking out with a monster week. Just missing HR to deep parts of the park, lining out hard with bases loaded etc.
Just brutal for us owners. His offense would make up for his shaky defense like it always has … Stupid Donnie. Should have sold when Grey said sell, but it was simply too early to give up on the potential upside. My two big buys in my keeper auction draft were him and Fielder :(
Got lucky yesterday trading Ventura and Yelich for Bautista and Nathan. But I need Kemp playing to make a run.
Long season, he’ll play soon… Might platoon for a bit though, so you’ll need a bench bat…
@Grey: Weekly lineups really suck for situations like this!
I hear ya
grienke/choo or puig/springer
grinke/choo or puig/gomez
Puig with Gomez
Marte vs LHP Neise in NY
or
Moss vs Sherzer in Oak?

Grey,
Please rank my sps

I would like to drop one to stream or grab Kennedy
Could also drop Allen cle
Or aramis Ramirez
Using headley while aramis on dl
Plouffe is available
Lose Aramis to stream…
Headley or Plouffe
Who would u cut to stream?
Roster ian Kennedy?
Cut Headley
I was wrong aramis has my DL spot since Bruce off dl
I’d have to cut Bruce or billy Hamilton
Otherwise need to cut an aforementioned pitcher to stream or grab ian Kennedy
Could drop Cody Allen
I have rosenthal uehara krod soria and rondon
Lose Allen
I was just offered JUpton for Bruce + Teheran.
No way, right? I’m not sure I’d trade Teheran for Upton straight up..
Nope
Jessie Chavez or Alfredo Simon needs to drop one thanks
Simon
What’s got you leery on Hughes v TEX tonight? He’s at home and only Rios has been able to hit him in the past…
I won’t ever trust Hughes fully… Afraid of the long ball… If you’re gonna own him though, I guess I’d start him…
How’s that for a huge bid of confidence!
@Grey: Swamped by it. Swamped I say!
Don’t own him per se – picked him up for a stream in the FCL…
Haha… Gotcha
@Grey: Uh-oh. My opponent is starting him too! Not sure I can now…
Why can’t I change Span out in a postponed game? Ugh…
@Grey: Is it because it was PPD after other games started?
I guess, I don’t know what happened… Or wha’ happened…
I think Chris Carter has officially lost his job. Sitting for the third straight game. OBP fellows like me can pour one out for what could have been and reach for the nearest hot schmotato. AVG fellows never drafted him
Hopefully Singleton is called soon…
Rajai or Revere ROS? Or am I moving sideways?
Sideways
Would you trade Shelby for Verlander at this time ?
Sure
If Hanley hits the DL, it’s pretty slim pickin’s for SS in my 15 team league. The best options appear to be Cozart, Turner, Aviles, B. Crawford (on waivers until TH).
Any advice? (Besides pray that Hanley gets better??)
Thanks much!
Crawford
@Grey: Thanks! And in the meantime, the prayer hexagon worked!
A different question, if you don’t mind…no specific category need, in an OBP league, who’s the better OF play: Ozuna or Calhoun?
Thanks again!
Ozuna
rizzo or springer in a keeper, same keeper value
Rizzo
Alright Grey this may be a tough one. Rank these guys ROS, wanna see how your ranking lines up with JB’s on Thursday.
Here is my attempt.
Kluber, Keuchel, Kennedy, Smyly, Walker, Paxton, Eovaldi, Hutchison, Bauer
@Joesh:
sorry for double post (is it possible to edit these btw?), minor clarification – use QS instead of W for your assessment if possible.
Kluber, Eovaldi, Keuchel
would you still be looking to sell yordano in a keeper?
Depends what you can get

I have 4 guys on the DL in my H2H keeper league. Should I trade Arenado for Cuddyer?
Thanks
Sure
In a H2H OPS/QS keeper league, is there more value in flipping George Springer for a top tier starter (which I am sorely lacking after injuries to J-Fer and Cliffly) or keep him and just stream in SPs with favorable matchups?

Who to offer for Pujols and Bautista? draft picks next year are in play except my pick #2….
I need a upgrade at 1st but really want Bautista also….
or just try to get Bautista or Pujols?
Thanks man.
Teheran/Polanco?
The greatest lesson I’ve ever learned in FBB is to not drop guys like Yordano on the 3rd day of a 3 day weekend.
Haha
Hosmer and Cain or…. Lackey and A Gordon
Hosmer
Will Myers and/or Carlos Santana breakdown?
Santana just broke down
10 team, 7×7 (obp & slg), h2h categories, daily lineups, standard yahoo lineups (but add an IF slot and 4th OF), keeper league:
I get Cespedes (can be kept in 8th round next year) for Alex Gordon and Hosmer (both would have to be kept in 2nd round next year)
I’m short on power and there’s always guys on waivers I can replace guys with (Granderson, Quentin, Ryan Howard to name a few). However, I’m playing for this year and don’t want to sell Gordon and Hosmer at their lowest values unless it helps me. Thoughts?
Hold

If anybody wants to suggest a player to take a look at I have an hour or so free at the moment, I’d be happy to take a look and offer an opinion.
@OaktownSteve: Stevorino, what about Dozier? Has he tailed off, does he keep up the pace ? Thanks man
@Nightpandas:
I gotta run and pick up the kid, I’ll post a Dozier write up for you in tomorrow’s comments.
@OaktownSteve:
Yea Dozier is a good one.
I was offered Chris Davis, Panda, and Alex Gordon for my Longoria, Springer and Teheran
I need First base badly, I had Napoli now Moreland. My OF is Jay Bruce, BRANTLEY, McCutchen, Myers, and my SP are Bauer, Eovaldi, Anibal, Minor and Porcello. What do you think?
Hold
12 team h2h points league:
I offered my frazier/myers/anibal for his cargo/longo
He counters my cano/a.jones/frazier/bum for his cargo/longo/carpenter
For reference, all 4 of my players in the counter have scored 160-170 points so far this year and all 3 of his are in the 150s. His counter is too high imo. Would you counter with my cano/myers/frazier/anibal for his cargo/longo/carpenter? Is that a reasonable counter or hold? I’m not big on Carpenter (and I know you aren’t) but he threw him in.
Not good
@Grey: is my counter an ok deal or hold?
Hold
@Grey: Thanks Grey – two last ideas and then I’ll let it rest.
Counter 1: My Cano/Myers/Anibal for his Cargo/Longo
Counter 2: My JUpton/Frazier/Anibal for his Cargo/Longo.
I don’t want Carpenter – would you do either counter and which one’s better for me? Thanks again.
I’d take either, 2nd first
H2h Yahoo std + OPS. Who do you like more for ROS, Springer or Rios?
Rios
@Grey: loving life if you have both though.
Need to drop a pitcher. Who to drop? Ranking?
Price, Sanchez, Tehran, Keuchel, Eovaldi, Garza, Estrada, Cingrani, Peralta, Pomeranz
Drop Garza
@Grey: That is what I was thinking. Do you think it is possible Cingrani gets sent down though?
Sure, it’s posssible
Brock holt or Denard Span at Util?
Roster is very deep at OF
Span
11 team 5×5 roto league. Closers are competitive. I only have qualls and belisario. No one will trade one to me. I have 1 in the category and have decided to give up. I have beltre and Frazier (UTIL) but need sb’s. I think I can get kipnis for Frazier, qualls, and belisario from a guy who needs a 3b. I should definitely do this right?
Go for it
Darvish going for a precautionary MRI. He won’t be pitching today.
@Wilsonian:
Wow.
Yup
Right back at ya! *Shakes Fist*
Haha
Best start today:
Darvish at twins
Greinke home vs Reds
Sale home vs Indiands
Sale
grey how would you rank these
g cole, homer bailey, beckett, ervin santana
Bailey, Cole
Did anyone at Razzball successfully get the free Domino’s Pizza that Josh Beckett bought us with his no hitter? Because I did not. Servers were blown up!
(yeah-yeah, you wouldn’t be caught dead eating Dominos, even free. I get it. You’re a food snob and better than the rest of us. Now go rescue a Pitbull and tell everyone how awesome you are about that too.)
I didn’t even know about it, thanks for telling me!
trying to work out a deals with teams… hosmer is killing my team, i still think he can turn it around, but i need to make a move and in my league ppl want draft picks for following season. who do you like ROS? Top 3 listed below. Its going to prob cost me a 5th rd pick but oh well.
Moss, Cuddyer, Morse, Belt and Adams…
Moss, Cuddyer, Adams
Is a 10 team league where we keep 8 every year too shallow to keep holding onto Jose Fernandez? I know it depends on situation, but let’s just say I don’t have 8 top 80 overall hitters and only 1 other top 80 overall pitcher.
Not worth it
Hughes home vs Rangers or Masterson at White Sox?
Masterson
Hughes streamable at home vs Rangers today? Been lights out lately
I wouldn’t
top 3 for ROS: aoki, pollock, cain, ozuna
Ozuna, Cain, Pollock
OF are cargo, brantley, Gordon, Myers,Bruce, taveras and polanco. Starters are bailey, liriano, Cobb, haren, porcello, walker, eovaldi, Tillman and Cole. I have the worst ERA and WHIP in the league. Would you trade Brantley for shields or wacha?
@nick: have cuddyer and crisp also at OF
Sure
Jose Bautisa and Jon Lester for Cespedes and Darvish. Which side?
Bautista
It is fair though
Need HR/RBI. Morneau or Howard?
Morneau
Keep Salvador Perez or Devin Mesoraco?
Perez
@Grey: weekly roto redraft. in need of hr/rbi. worth dropping gyorko for khris d or david murphy (have pedroia at 2b)? i dropped jedd last year in may and it cost me…
Can hold
Need an MI not named Asdrubal:
Available:
Prado
Wong
Odor
Dietrich
Struggling in all categories except SBs and RBIs. Thanks
Wong
Aaron Hill for Iwakuma in a H2H points league where SP runs deep and scoring is heavily weighted towards SP? Hill is in 1 of my 2 util slots with Cano in the other.
It’s fair, take Iwakuma
Miley home vs Padres $8
Masterson @ White Sox $4
Harang home vs Red Sox $5
Simon @ Dodgers $-2
Stults at Dbacks $-7
Accord to SON. Seems Miley is the only streamable one here. Agree?
I wouldn’t touch any in most leagues
12 team OBP yahoo league. I just got offered Buster Posey for Brandon Moss. I currently have Miguel Montero at catcher. The rest of my outfield is Melky Cabrera, Adam Jones, Alex Gordon, Torii Hunter, and Carlos Beltran on the DL. Honestly I’m leaning towards no just because Montero has been pretty solid (Posey arguably hasn’t been that much better) and unlike Posey, Montero hasn’t been dealing with back issues. Thanks in advance.
