### Do you like math story problems?

I'd like to know all of the possible ways that I could MISS making the playoffs based on what happens in this final week of the regular season in my \$ league.

This is only for somebody who actually enjoys a good complicated math story problem. Otherwise, don't bother with it because there's only 2 days left in my regular season before the the playoff berths are known.

In the meantime though, I'd like to know what to root for to happen this weekend!

Here's the details:

H2H
1 game (currently underway) remaining in regular season
22-team league (we will have all played each other once)
Top 6 teams advance to playoffs after this week.
If there is a two team tie, the head to head result between those two teams will
determine the tie breaker. If there are more than two teams, the total
points scored for the regular season will be used to determine the
tie-breaker.

I lost my H2H matchups with TBS, PDR, CC, & BRU.

Current Standings:
16-4 TBS 5256 (record, team name, and total pts for season)
14-6 PDR 4623
13-7 TT 4917
13-7 MM 4830
12-8 Me 4786
12-8 SJS 4181
11-9 TH 4720
11-9 CC 4591
11-9 LBB 4520
11-9 BRU 4434
11-9 CG 4270

You'll also need to know which of these contenders are playing against each other. If not listed, they are playing a non-contender:

TBS vs. CGA
PDR vs. TT
SJS vs. LBB
CC vs. BRU

I'll check back here soon to see if you have any questions or anything. Thanks!

Don't you just need SJS and PDR to lose and you to win to get in?

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.
Thanks!

### Re: Do you like math story problems?

You need to cheer for LBB to beat SJS. If SJS wins and you lose you're out of the playoffs. You have more points than SJS but since you lost the head to head matchup you'll lose the tiebreaker.

If you win you have nothing to worry about b/c the other teams that are ahead of you in the h2h tiebreaker situations won't have as good a record as you.

Either CC or BRU will be 12-9 since they're both 11-9 and playing against each other. Meaning that if you lose your matchup you'll be ousted by either one of these teams.

In summation:

1) You win: no worries, you're in in matter what.
2) You lose, SJS wins: you're out no matter what
3) You lose, SJS loses: you're in the playoffs because you win the tiebreaker since you beat this team h2h (I'm assuming that b/c you didn't put them on the list of teams you've lost to)

for 2), if SJS wins, can I still get in if TH wins but doesn't pass me in points, OR, if CGA wins and TH doesn't pass me in points?
