Keep Alf or AP? - Auction

Postby phorts » Tue Jul 30, 2013 2:01 pm

I need someone to talk me off the ledge here. tell it to me straight.

Im in a 14 team redraft .5 PPR Auction League and we can keep 1 player from our last years roster. The cost to keep is the previous years draft price plus $5. Our Auction budget is $200.

I can keep one of the following two:

Alf - $6
AP - $40

Ok. No brainer to take Alf right? But it's AP! It's also .5 PPR. He outscored Alf by over 80pts last year in my league. That's 5 ppg. That's HUGE! AP would likely go for $65+ in the draft. Alf, around $40. So my brain says Alf and the value, while the degenerate in me says pay the piper and hold onto the golden boy or I'll regret it later.

What would you do?

Tough call. I'm cheap, I'd go with The Butler there. Both have good prices, actually, but Alf should be a good bank for RB1 numbers. Too good to pass up at $6.
