Thank you Grey! Two League Wins!

Postby bicyclesquid » Thu Oct 04, 2012 2:06 pm

Gotta thank everyone in the Razzball forums and Grey himself. After five years, I finally won my old work league and then I beat my current office league in a come-from-behind-Disney-movie-like-ending. So two league wins.

Need to explain the office league win: 10 teams. 10 cats. I'm in 2nd/3rd for a most of the last month. The guy in first is hitting 92 points and is up by 12 points. He has Pujols, Trout, Kershaw, McCutchen, Kinsler, Granderson... He's coasting, everyone gives up. But then I make several huge trades that get me Trout and Cano. Longoria is suddenly off the DL. I pick up Medlen. Things start to click. I start chipping away, but never overtake him. I'm down 7 points someday, 3 the next, 8 the day after. The last day of the season, Longoria and Cano go crazy, I overtake someone in runs, and his offense goes silent. Final score: Me: 82, Him: 81.5. I win by 1/2 a point.

My final team:

Awesome! Congrats!

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.
