Ortiz worth owning (13 team mixed roto), or his he officially done. He'll just be riding the bench on my team right now.

All depends who else is available. I think he is worth being a little more patient with if your team could use power. But if there is something better on the wire, I'd make a move.

I'm a little short on power right now w/ Tex slumping, but i'm really just looking to use Ortiz as trade bait when he gets his stroke back. Think i'll take a chance on him.

If last year is any indication, you might be waiting a while. Assuming Ortiz is either at U or on your bench, I'd try to acquire someone like Francoeur, Krispie Young, Ludwick, etc. In other words, a player that's better than the available FAs and has the chance to produce for you. Ortiz was dropped in my league for the shortstop, Alex Gonzalez...telling.
12-teamer, H2H, points, 4 keepers.
Hitters: +1 single, +2 dbl, +3 trpl, +4 HR, +1 RBI, +1 run, +1 BB/HBP, -1 K, +2 SB, -1 CS
Pitchers: +1.5 IP, +1 K, -1 BB/HBP, +5 W, -3 L, +4 S, -2 BS, +3 CG, +10 shutout
Start one player at each position + utility, 4 SPs, 2 RPs. 8 reserves.

I'd rather have Ortiz than McLouth but I don't think that's a ringing endorsement for Ortiz either. Can't even get around for a fastball anymore so I'd expect some extended droughts and some random power. He'll most likely end up with most of his HRs from your bench since his .240 AVG will hold him out of your lineup.
