League Etiquette

Postby cyler8 » Thu Apr 12, 2018 9:23 am

I will try to keep this short. This is a dynasty roto league and I have been doing pretty well streaming pitchers for the last few years. Really well so far this year. Recently the commissioner brought to my attention that some league members have talked to him about my streaming strategies and that they believe I am manipulating the system and that he should tell me to stop. For example this is my game plan for tonight:

I have identified three streamers tomorrow that I like.

So at around 11:57PM I jump on and will drop three players for the three streamers. Lets say:
Drop Tanaka for Maeda
Drop Morton for Matz
Drop Beltre for E. Rod.

Then at 12:00 AM I will do the opposite:
Drop Maeda for Tanaka
Drop Morton for Matz
Drop E. Rod for Beltre

Personally I don't see any issues with this as it has it's risks. Someone could be on at the same time and grab one of the players I drop. Also it's not giving me any extra advantage as the players I dropped are technically not on my roster for the next day.

Tell your leaguemates if they don't like what you do, then they should make rules against it, and until there's rules it's perfectly legal -- I'd do the same

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.

I'd tell your friends the same thing the cab driver told Mitch in the eternal classic 'Old School'
