2 RCL's last night. This is draft #1 ($100, Cougars r Us )

Trying something new this year. Drafted elite power/rbis, elite speed. Will decide whether or not I need to start streaming in May, if my season isn't in tatters by then. This is the riskiest strategy I've ever tried. Lots of reaches. The idea was that offense is scarce, with big drop-offs between tiers. So I reached for younger players like Freeman, Cabrera, Marte and Martin, with hopes that they take a surprising step forward, or, at a minimum, don't regress. I drafted players that I think are overlooked and underrated (Ramos, Werth). And I drafted hyped question marks, hoping the hype is legit in at least one or two cases (Abreu, Castellanos, Ventura, Walker).

Yeah, it's high risk. But when you're playing in leagues with fantasy obsessives, I think playing it safe, ironically, turns fantasy baseball into a game of luck. I'll leave that to Nate Silver and probably get my ass whupped 51.9 percent of the time. But I'm pretty sure I'll have more fun.

Anyway, my draft:

C: Wilson Ramos (He'll be the best catcher this year if he stays healthy)

IB: Chris Davis (Joey Bats was legit. So was Encarcion... Drafting 6th, I liked him best)

2B: Howie Kendrick (seems like he played with Jim Kaat, but he's only 31)

3B: Chris Johnson (won't hurt me if my other corners come through)

SS: Everth Cabrera (hoping for something close to the AVG we saw last year)

MI: Jordy Mercer (Pirates say he's earned the chance to play every day. Hopefully he'll keep getting better)

CI: Freddy Freeman: (If he improves with experience, watch the eff out. He's my non-sleeper sleeper pick of the year)

OF: Giancarlo Stanton (Reached for him in second round. Aside from praying for good health, I hope he gets traded so he can improve his RBIs. )

OF: Starling Marte: (If he improves just a little bit - he's got room to grow - he' Ellsbury two rounds later)

OF: Jason Werth (Again, can he stay healthy? Is so, he's the lynchpin of an elite line-up)

OF: Leonys Martin (More than just SAGNOFF)

OF: Nick Castellanos (Will have eligibility at 3rd soon enough; Just hoping for a solid #4 OF production)

DH: Jose Abreu (Another gamble, my 5th pick. I'm hoping for .270 w/35 HR and 100 RBI)

Bench: Polanco (probably not gonna hold onto him long enough if todays RB post from Pittsburgh PA is accurate. July? Damn!)

Bench: Grady Sizemore (Have y'all been paying attention? Everyone loves a feelgood story. Ok, but if you drafted him you do.)

P: Masahiro Tanaka (Lightning in a bottle? Who'll be the big surprise this year? Ahhh... spring....)

P: Danny Salazar (Almost wish I didn't have him last year. Starting to get the feeling that, like the year before with MEdlen, I'm expecting too much and let my emotions run my draft.)

P: Yordano Ventura (Am I ever going to stop being a scker for hype and triple digit heat?)

P: Chris Archer (See Salazar two lines up)

P: Taijuan Walker (See Ventura, two lines up)

P: Grilli

P: Janssen

P: Hunter

P: Santos (Janssen's been struggling with a sore shoulder since he fell out of his crib. Matter of time, matter of time....)

I like this team better, the hitting looks decent and pitching... You have some risky pitching, but not too bad... There's gonna be a ton of SPs to pick up on waivers...

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.
Thanks!
