What players with a chance to make an impact do you think we see called up in the next week?

Not what you meant, I'm sure, but as an FYI- Manny and Vladdy may actually be June 1st call ups...

From sentiments of this board.....and sometimes Grey:

Anthony Rizzo: June 1st (board)
Wil Myers: mid-June (Grey)
Trevor Bauer: mid-July
Jake Odorizzi: either June or July (board)
Shelby Miller: 2nd half once he gets consistent QS's (Minor Accomplishments)

I'd grab Rizzo for sure, but not sure if anyone else is worth holding a roster spot.....maybe Bauer, but let's see if he gets the call....

ManRam needs more work, but Oakland's desperate for offense and he's eligible this Weds....Roy Oswalt is probably worth a roster spot more than anyone on the aforementioned list, save maybe Rizzo or Bauer??

Rizzo's not getting called up til mid June at the absolute earliest. Cubs aren't going to start his arbitration clock a year early to save this season...

Nolan Arenado is also right on the cusp of showing up in Colorado. Given their current 3B situation it should be sooner than later and the kid can hit.

Nolan Arenado should definitely be called up sometime soon....after Casey Blake retired when he was released by the Rockies in the spring, it's been a countdown until Arenado gets called up. Guessing they are just waiting for the arbitration clock to start.

Sorry about the Rizzo comment, but not exactly sure when arbitration begins for call-ups?? I thought it was June 1st (hence, the reason why teams wait until then to call up minor league talent), but is it the 15th?? If so, why all the fuss about June 1st?? Shouldn't the fuss happen on the 15th instead??

Also, I forgot to mention Julio Teheran, who has Braves fans buzzing, especially with Mike Minor and Randall Delgado struggling......

Some eager Mets fans & blogs have said that Zach Wheeler might get called up, with 45.2 IP and a 1.97 ERA with 52 K's in Double-A, but I don't think he gets the call until next season.
