What about Delmon Young

Postby diggs1228 » Thu Mar 22, 2012 7:18 am

Through a couple drafts, I've gladly picked up Delmon late. At my own risk (I know spring doesn't matter), I can't disregard the fact he's been tearing it up thus far. Also, it seems as though everyone has forgotten his damn near spectacular year in the not so distant past. Are his once highly touted projections on the verge of taking form as he will have innumerable rbi opportunities this year?

I was kinda thinking about trying to get Delmon myself! I, like you guys, try not to put too much stock into spring performance but this guy is knocking the cover off the ball. If he is there at the right time I think I am going to give him a shot.

He is 5 behind Cabrera and Fielder. Consider this: last year in 40 games on the Tigers, Young hit 28/8/32 .274 average. Over 150 games (*3.75) that is 105/30/120!!! Crazy? that is his upside. I am projecting 26 hr with 90-100 rbi. He might only hit 20/80, but that isn't bad either.
