Site Categorization

Grey,
This is totally selfish, but...is there any way for you to identify your site as something other than "games"?

Here's the deal: at work, this site is blocked because it is identified as "games". I wonder if you have the ability to provide an alternate category name, such as "sports" or "sports news" etc...

Here's what pops up when I attempt to access your site from work:

Destination URL: http://razzball.com/

Destination Port: 80

Webfilter Category: Games

Just wondering if you have any means of altering the way your site is categorized...not sure you do, but had to ask!

Sorry, I'm pretty computer stupid. No idea what that is or how to fix it.

I think the web filtering software/hardware is the one that reports the Category as "Games".

Cfrancis -

Could you convince your IT dept to whitelist Razzball? If they allow other Sports sites, they should allow RB.

Hahaha, that would be a pretty awkward question to ask the IT

And IT's usually aren't very understanding of fantasy baseball, for some reason. School systems around here enjoy blocking Yahoo fantasy sports, so I can't even check my teams, let alone read about fantasy news :/

Bookiebob,
You were right - it was the filter. I submitted the appropriate request form w/ the suggestion that Razzball is a "sports/media" site. Ya know what? They agreed!! Sure enough, this morning I can get Razzball at work!
Of course, this means even less work will be accomplished...

Don't think of it as less work being accomplished, think of it as spending your time at work more productively and wisely.
