QB VS RB keeper question

I'm in an auction league with the option of keeping 2 players ( from different positions ). Here is my question/strategy question.
Here are my players that I could retain.

QB-Brady
RB-S.Jax
WR-C. Johnson
WR-Fitz
WR-V. Jax
WR-Welker
TE-V.Davis
TE-Gonzo

Option #1--Keep Brady and C.Johnson and not a chance of getting Fitz or V.Jax back
Option# 2--Only keep C.Johnson and pick up possibly Ryan, Eli manning, or even Stafford for half the cost of retaining Brady. Then have a great
chance of picking up Fitz and V.Jax.

Option 2 is riskier with more upside than option 1 which is safer. I'd probably lean option 2. Loving Stafford and IF he stays healthy could be in Brady territory or close enough. But you'll also need to grab a backup which might end up not being as cost efficient.
