Week 5 Quarterback

Postby nostrathomas » Mon Oct 04, 2010 9:33 am

I'm down a Tom Brady for next week, and I don't have a second QB on my roster. Which one of the following should I pick up for week 5?

Shaun Hill vs STL
Sam Bradford vs DET
Kevin Kolb vs SF (assuming vick is out)
Vince Young @ DAL
Bruce Gradkowski vs SD
Matt Cassel vs IND
David Garrad @ BUF

The Hill, Bradford, and Garrard matchups look interesting. What do you think?
C- V. Martinez
1B- J. Votto
2B- A. Hill
SS- I. Desmond
3B- A. Rodriguez
OF- J. Bruce
OF- C. Gonzalez
OF- J. Damon
UTIL- M. Texiera
UTIL- J. Smoak
Bench- P. Bourjos, M. Cuddyer

SP- J. Johnson, M. Garza, C. Billingsly, M. Scherzer, J. Masterson, JDLR, E. Volquez

RP- A. Chapman, C. Perez, J. Contrearas (DL), J. Axford, S. Santos, M. Melancon

I would not go with Hill, everyone remembers the Ram as a horrible team but their D has given up 52pts in 4 games or13pts per game!

I would take Bradford vs Det and a Det D who has given up 102 pts in 4 games or 25pts per game

I think Bradford is your best option.

12 Team, Non-PPR, Standard scoring, bonuses for yardage totals
Start 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 RB/WR, 1 TE, Def, K

Brady, Tannehill
A. Peterson, R. Mathews, P. Thomas, F. Jackson, D. Sproles
A. Jeffrey, P. Garcon, K. Wright, B. Cooks, H. Nicks, G. Jennings
G. Olsen
Novak
Streamer Def - Currently NYJ

Bradford is most likely the best option with Kolb as the only other legit possibility if Ron Mexico sits out. I'd stay away from the rest.
