My only concern for Florida is that Manny comes in and screws with team chemistry. I really like Hermida but you can't question the Marlins, they always seem to push the right buttons. Some small market teams around baseball need to look at how they structure their team in cycles and compete every five seasons in a very deep division. I think Bay is a decent fit in Boston and Pittsburgh did very well getting an up and comer in Hermida. Is John Grabow part of the package with Bay that will potentially go to Boston?

I also think the Red Sox will realize replacing Manny in the middle of the order is not easy to do with a good, but not great hitter in Bay. If the deal happens I think it takes him a lot of ABs to get used to the new league and different pitching, and also playing under pressure for the first time in his career. .. Possibly enough to cost Boston a playoff spot
